Good food let down by organisation and service.
We booked through Facebook - 21:00 on a Tuesday. It was extremely busy, loud and the staff seemed frantic. I told the guy at the front we had a booking - He said "we don't do bookings, go and talk to that guy" and pointed to another server. Really unprofessional and not the warm or friendly greeting we hoped for.
We were unsure who our server would be and after some time with the menu I tried to catch an eye. She took our order promptly and we began the wait.
Unfortunately the issues began:
Ordered Ferrero Roche milkshake - they brought an Oreo, and said theres no Kinder Bueno, which was fine as we didn't order that! Rectified quickly enough
Milkshake came in a hot cup - unfortunately melted the cream and left the drink an unusual temperature - appreciate it was busy but should be avoided
Ended up repeating our starter order to another waitress who then immediately brought food as though it hadn't actually been logged properly the first time
Starters came - no cutlery
Ordered King prawn Black bean - the first waitress came over to tell us they weren't available - so we asked for the Tiger prawns. Back again to tell us they didn't have that do opted for fish. Understand we were at the end of service but it would be good to be made aware at ordering
Asked for the bill - charged us for the King Prawns not fish (£4 difference). Couldn't print a receipt with a new total so told us it was £24 after Eat Out to Help Out. It wasn't it was £22.50. Eventually the waitress confirmed and we paid, ate a lollipop (very strange after dinner) and left
The food was pretty good - starters were tasty. Inconsistent with the mains - my portion was too small but had a good amount of sauce. It would have been good to have more peppers and onion. My partners, the same black bean noodles but with fish, was at least a third bigger but had much less sauce and appeared half the noodles hadn't been cooked in the sauce.
Overall an underwhelming experience and would recommend looking elsewhere for Asian dining. Perhaps on a less busy night, the mistakes would not have happened and we may have enjoyed the evening, but the restaurant should be able to cope at its...
Read moreDisabled parking not the best with yellow lines only on one side which means it could be tight for manual wheelchair users who need to open the car door fully to assemble the chair and getting in and out. The ramp is very steep with little space for a run up so manual wheelchair users be careful. The disabled toilet is fine but as always it is frustratingly teamed up with the baby changing facilities but all doors are suitable for electric wheelchair users.
As soon as we came in we were greeted which was great, we were seated then left alone for about 10mins. No one asked if we wanted drinks whilst we perused the menu and had to wave someone over, this was even more disappointing because it wasn't busy, there were only about 7 other tables at the time.
I felt really singled out because I ordered a bottle of diet coke and was given a glass bottle with a straw which was fine but there were 2 tables by me that ordered a coke and got a glass and ice with their bottles of coke without asking for this separately. The food came out really quickly which always makes me a little nervous. I ordered the dynamite prawns which was quite nice, the chicken lollipops which was a little dry, the prawn tempura which was not fried in a light crispy batter, it's fried in a clumpy and thick batter (some may like this style but it's not to my taste), I also had the prawn fried rice which was okay and Basmati rice was used which I also didn't expect and finally I tried the plain noodles which was awful as the noodles were way overcooked when they boiled the dry noodle before finishing up on the wok and far too much oil was used and I'm pretty sure it was old oil because it had a weird aftertaste.
The service was fine after ordering the food and they were polite and respectful.
The bill came to £40+ for 2 people which is quite a sting for food that...
Read moreVery poor service. We had a seat and Menu cards, but no body came to take the order for 15 minutes. I raised my hand several times, and a girl nodded her head, but didn't come to us. We patiently waited again, but realized no body is coming. Then, when another girl was walking to another table passing me, I called her and gave our order. Because, food is delayed, I thought of ordering a drink to my starving son. Again, the girl who didn't care about me was next to our table, so I called her and asked if we can get a passionfruit juice. I also asked whether I can have it quickly. She said okay, but we didn't receive the drink until we had food and leave the place. My bad, I didn't check the bill at the end, but paid the bill, and left after handing over a written review. Just after leaving the place, I realized, they have changed for the drink as well. Please check the bill before you pay! I returned to the restaurant and inquired about that from the staff. At that time they told us, passionfruit juice was not available, that's why we didn't receive it. Then, why they have included that in the bill? The manager didn't bother to came out and talk to me. In side the restaurant is very hot. There are a lot of places with better food, good atmosphere and very good service around the area. This is my last visit to this...
