I ordered two pizzas for my wife and I, along with two bottles of Pepsi max. My wife had a create your own pizza and chose pineapple, three cheese and sweet corn as her toppings. I chose a bbq meat feast, with extra pepperoni and bacon, but as I am allergic to cheese I stated in the special request section “NO CHEESE “. When the delivery arrived, we sat down to eat, but when my wife opened her pizza box, the pizza had no toppings at all !!! Just the bare base and the tomato sauce !!! If this wasn’t bad enough, when I opened mine it was covered in cheese!!!! This meant that we couldn’t eat our pizzas, my wife couldn’t even eat mine as she is vegetarian !!! I tried to call the store on Vanguard Avenue in Coventry, but nobody seems to know , not only how to follow an order, but how to answer a phone !!! As the order was placed through Uber eats, I tried to contact them. I had already filled in the feed back on the Uber eats website about the issues with the order, and after an hour of being on hold I finally spoke to someone who said that I would need to fill in the form on the website as they can’t help me. When I told him that I had already done this, he told me that I would have to wait to see if I would get a call from a different department, but that they wouldn’t give me a refund. I have tried for two days to call the store, so that I can get a refund, an explanation and an apology for the negligence of the incompetent staff, but it seems that the staff still haven’t been trained on how to pick up a phone when it rings !!!! I am now around £40.00 out of pocket due to Pizza Hut, however we order different pizza’s from Dominos Pizza as we needed something to eat and it arrived within 25 minutes, pipping hot and what we asked for. As the staff are unaware that when the phone makes a noise they are meant to pick it up and speak to the person on the other end of the phone, I will have no choice but to take the pizzas back to them and discuss this issue with them face to face and give them their pizzas back after they give me my money back. Read moreI wouldnt even give it one star. Waited over an hour and a half for my "delivery". It got to 9.30pm i decided to take matters into my own hands and drive to the pizza hut itself. A girl walked past stared at me and carried on walking didnt even bother to aknowlegde me. Waited for someone to actually come and serve me. When a man finally did he didnt know where my order was. It was still 4! Away from being delivered, so god knows what time it actually would of turned up. I dammaned a refund for him to tell me to take it up with customer service. So goodbye £28. His only reason was "we dont have enough drivers" - well dont be a "pizza hut delivery" without enough drivers. And about 5 people trying to put some patato wedges in one box. I originally called up to place the order and the guy could have been nicer and was like you order online or in store only.
Anyway I order my food with the garlic sprinkles on the crust and it has arrived with so much green powder all over the pizza (tastes like oregano) I’ve called up and the guy was like don’t order garlic powder , I told him over 10 times what’s in my pizza isn’t garlic powder and it tastes awful. He wasn’t having any of it, I’m now out of pocket £33 and having to cook pasta because it’s inedible. I asked to speak to his manager 4 times and he kept refusing and just kept repeating not to order garlic, I wouldn’t mind but there’s not one bit of garlic on there.
The pizza and service has changed drastically over the last couple of years and going forward I’ll only ever use dominos over the road.
