🍗Worth Sharing and Supporting and Appreciating ☕🍲
I have walked past this place since September, thinking I will go there next. When it was next time I said to myself maybe next time and next time and next time.
Today again I said to myself maybe next time but on my way back, i just walked in and placed my order. I settled myself in the corner to listen to my music when Diljit's song Patiala Peg blasted.
Good music I said to the person(staff member) sitting alone with his cuppa on the opposite table to me. Casual conversation until my order arrived, he asked me what are you having today Papri chat and karak chai I said.
Our Butter chicken and chilly chips are good too, make sure you try them next time. And he asked for feedback on the chat, took it really well and shared his future plans for the shop. You know we Punjabi like background checks if person sound Punjabi, so that part was over already.
I found out I was talking to The Chef Rohit. Very well mannered, soft spoken and bolne me Harayanvi touch hai not yet white washed as my kids would say. Conversation in Punjabi that to with someone with a touch of Motherland was Beautiful.
Rohit is not only good with people but also good at cooking. Listening to his story about spices, His journey from Haryana to Indore (to learn cooking) and to the UK, how he opened the restaurant and his passion for cooking only the best, impressed me.
Depth of his being, his faith in his destiny and vision for himself and the place made me Appreciate this meeting with him. I was determined to go off social media until summer holidays or even longer but some things are worth sharing and supporting.
Divine plan we both agreed on this as I was stuck in the loop of maybe next time and Rohit never came out of the kitchen or stayed behind the counter, even to have his tea.
I am definitely going back for Chefs recommendations. My Best wishes to you Rohit and your Brother who is supporting you and the staff. INDIAN food that is Totally INDIAN.

Read moreIt is one of the best Indian restaurants I have been in Coventry. It's a month old restaurant. Beautiful decor and good ambience. The food was so tasty. I went their twice and got even breakfast packed a day before leaving Coventry. They not only served what was there in the menu but the Aunty, like a mother said, if you want to eat sweet, I will make it. She made suji halwa with so much love and taste. They have got a new chef who was one of the top 5 contestants in MasterChef 3, I guess, Happy Singh. He made amazing chola, which I had it with rice. Then I had Aloo tiki, panipuri and amazing tea made by restaurant owners daughter in law. My colleague had chicken, laccha paratha n rice. We went there again the next day with one more colleague. We again had panipuri, papdi chaat, tea, mutton, chicken, veg kofta, lacha parantha, tawa roti, rice, and for the next morning, we got paneer parantha packed. Combined two days, we paid around £100. Value for money, rather I would say the food was worth more. Money is not an issue when food is palatable and served with warmth. They are not very expensive as they are in the student area.
One of the other places where we went thinking classy and well reviewed had pathetic food and service.
I will be back to Rehdiiwala again whenever...
Read moreWe went in for birthday brunch. The lady Gagan if I remember correctly was her name she was very polite and courteous went the extra mile playing Karan Aujla songs for us. She made us feel comfortable and asked if we needed anything, manners don't cost a thing but she definitely was good at her job and A1 customer service 👌🏾
Atmosphere was nice too we had an AC fan on next to us. Food mashallah was nice also 👌🏾 karak tea and coffee were nice and hot (some places don't give you hot drinks i know suprising).
Prices are also fair and very affordable
If a manager is reading this please note the lady was very good at her job
