Taco Bell — Restaurant in Coventry

I was served by a nice employee, but a very rude manager intervered and took over. She was rude to me from the start and even though I did the survey and had 20% off she was unwilling to provide the discount for my order. I ordered Crunchwrap, fries, volcana burrito and quesadilla. She refused to the end I reluctantly paid full price. For half of the meal and I tried my discount again and luckily this time the employee gave it to me. Then, bear in mind I was the only customer in the entire store as it was 9 o clock. I placed my order at 9 and the manager was making my food. She only gave it to me at 9.21. As it was takeaway I took it home without checking. Only to realise they didn’t give my quesadilla and the Crunchwrap supreme the meat was not evenly portioned and it was on one side. So 3/4 of the wrap I only had tomatoes and salad and sour cream and it made me physically sick. The service was sooo bad, the lady had a very bad attitude and didn’t care about her customers. High hopes for our daughters birthday today as she was so excited a Taco Bell was finally here in town!

Our review is a bit of a mix unfortunately.

We stood waiting for service for around 5 minutes and were the only ones queuing at the time. We weren't even acknowledged by any staff members of which there were at least 6. Which is a shame. It should be basic courtesy to at least acknowledge someone even if you are busy. A simple "We'll be right with you" would have been fine.

We ordered Beef Tacos which my daughter said were nice. The speciality star wrap was good and plentiful and the fries with paprika seasoning were nice too. Crispy chicken burrito is just a chicken wrap with salad (not a traditional burrito) so nothing special there. Nice but nothing special. Churros were so poor. Stale as cardboard sadly and at 4.99 for 4 they ought to be fresh so they let the side down a fair bit.

So excited to have a Taco Bell in Coventry. The naked chicken taco was dry, it said it has tomato but all I had on mine was funky tasting lettuce. The spicy fries were so old cardboard does not begin to describe them, ask for fresh and got the eventually. The taco was ok I could barely see the beef and again loads of lettuce. Only thing that was as expected was the drink. I have the Taco Bell app and could not add points. The receipt says scan barcode below but no barcode, went to the counter and got a barcode but this also did not work eventually the person (C) who seemed to be in charge sauntered over with attitude told me TO SCAN THE BARCODE, like it had never seen one before. Could not get it to work, she then said tough have some excuse that they had only opened up and that there was nothing she could do. And walked off. Very very disappointed. Maybe give them a miss until they have had time to get their sea legs. I would not recommend this...
