I was appalled at the this yesterday, we were a family of 20 for a family members birthday and the staff was nothing but rude from the minute we got there. Me and my partner were sat on a table for two (still a part of the 20 people booking) I have allergies so choose not to eat out not only that but to make it easier for the place of visit to be told if your not eating you will have to stand up! I hummed & arred about popping to this place for Sunday lunch. Thankgoodness I didn't deliberat too much. Food fantastic, carnivores meal... complete. Yum. My friend had a vegetarian meal. Next time I'm asking for both on one plate. Wow. Well done Chestnut kitchen staff for preparing and delevering an excellent, tasty, ' wanna come back again ' Sunday lunch. In fact...all staff were efficient, courteous and obviously enjoying their employment.. Wonderful to see that a local public house...

The beer was good, the cheese and onion roll was huge and the manager put BT on one of the tellys so I could watch Harrogate v Hartlepool despite the fact that everyone else was watching Wolves v Leicester on Sky. It is a really good pub which does real value for money Sunday lunches. My only disappointment was the result of the game. Pools lost.
