Let’s start with a positive note: I’ve ordered a blond 1 & 1/2 pump of white mocha , 40 degrees , flat white.
At the second attempt My coffee was made and handle by Daniel and it was Perfect 👍🏼 Perfect temperature, creamy and tasty. I appreciated how patient , calm and polite Daniel was.. I know I can be a pain in the 🍑 when it comes to my coffee.
I completely understand that opening at 3:30 AM is tough.. but as partner in a retail shop I’m expecting to receive good customer service. While ordering Hetal, the lady on the till, didn’t know how to proceed the discount card. She asked for help but none of her team knew. The girl that tried a couple of time to swipe the card on the till just got annoyed and throw the card under the till machine. ( and I was shocked, that was rude!)after a bit Hetal gave up on proceeding the discount card and kept saying my card was not working (which was strange cause I’ve just used it in another place the day before 😅) she pressed the 25% discount button on till. However I told her that ssp discount is 75% in all UK for brands such as Starbucks, upper crust, BK , ritazza etc. While everything was happening on the other till there was another lady , Sarla( if I’m not wrong) , she had to deal with the customer behind me. And I guess the guy was not aware of different prices in high street Starbucks and franchise ones. So he change he’s mind and wanted to change his order . By Sarla voice tone you could tell she was annoyed and she tried to insist that she has informed the customer about the price and she directly said to the guy “ go to next till my colleague will take ur order cause I made a void and I don’t know how to do” - I meaaaan comm’on??!! No matter what , CUSTOMER ARE always right even if they are not. Is part of our job to satisfy customer request and go beyond their expectations.

Read moreI bought a bottle of orange juice. When I got to the counter it was more than I was expecting (4.30 instead of 2.90). I was told the price on the shelf was for a different size. Not only was there no label for the larger size, there were also none of the smaller bottles, nor was there any space for them on the shelf where they might have been previously. The label for the non-existen smaller bottles was on the right side of the shelf, and the large bottles took up around a quarter of the shelf, going right up to the end and stacked deep too. For some reason, the lady serving me chose not to remove the misleading label even after having the problem pointed out to her. The only indication that the label was not for what was on the shelf was "250ml" written in the most miniscule writing imaginable. I regret not taking a picture of it. Many people would not be able to read this at all. I myself, being 31 and with perfect eyesight, had to lean closer to read it than I had to in order to pick up the bottle. Read moreWorst customer service I’ve experienced at any Starbucks worldwide. I’ve visited many branches across different countries, but the service at this one was truly non-existent.
I made the mistake of placing a mobile order, thinking this was the correct Gatwick location (it’s the only one that shows up on the app under Gatwick). When I arrived, a staff member, a lady with an Indian/Pakistani accent told me they don’t accept mobile orders and that I should’ve picked it up at a different store. Fair enough, but when I explained the mix-up and asked if there was anything they could do, I was met with zero empathy or effort. She bluntly told me to call Starbucks or cancel it myself, no apology, no customer service, just a cold response as if it was entirely my fault and not their concern.
The way she spoke to me, and how the situation was handled, was shocking, especially in front of other customers. For a £6 coffee, I just let it go, but it really left a bad impression.
Starbucks management should really train their staff here on basic customer service. Not acceptable, especially at an international location...
