Very disappointing. We were seated promptly however it went downhill from there. Service was next to none existent and a few things we ordered never actually arrived, water being the first thing. We managed to get our first round of drinks (4) and order our food. The wait for starters wasn’t too bad, but again with missing cutlery and having to wait to get the attention of staff to even start to enjoy the food. Overall, the food was enjoyable. For the prices they charge, you would expect it to be good quality. We again asked for items (a spoon for the mac and cheese) which never arrived, not the end of the world but just small things that kept being forgotten about. For context, we ate there at 8:30 on a Wednesday night. Our group of 4 was the largest table, with only 3 other tables of 2 in the whole restaurant. I would excuse missing items if it were very busy evening service. Staff were friendly when actually at the table but it was very hard to find them when you actually needed something. Two members of staff spent the majority of their time standing at the desk next to the kitchen despite tables needing clearing and customers looking around for service. There is a 12.5% service charge added to your bill which again, I wouldn’t mind paying if the service was received. We prefer to leave more tip to thank staff but on this occasion, we thought the charge was not worth it. We did pay it but we made sure to leave our comments with the supervisor in charge about our evening. Once we had finished our meal, only one plate was cleared from our table and left on a tray on the side, fully expecting the waitress to come back and collect the rest of our plates, she did not so we were left with our dirty plates and leftovers on the table in front of us. We were not offered any desserts, coffees or other drinks which we intended on staying for. We left just before 10pm, with only 1 member of staff available and still a dirty table. All in all, with 1- 2 drinks maximum each, it turned out to be over £100 per head. It was a shame to have a negative experience on the last evening of...

If you want cold food and non-existent service this is the place for you!

I am your typical Brit at a restaurant. When presented with poor service I always say the food is great, but tonight I couldn’t suppress my disappointment.

We waited for 10 mins at the entrance to be directed to a table under the air con. After frost-bite set in we asked to be moved to a more temperate table.

Our drinks order was taken very quickly but that’s where the prompt attention ended.

Our steaks arrived, and were barely warm and my chips and a side order of broccoli were cold. We called the manager over and he took them away. They were recooked in record time but was half the size and missing the sauce.

I returned mine due to the size of the steak and that the sauce was missing.

Together we ate my wife’s steak and the half portion of chips and broccoli as they only plated up a half portion.

When asked by the waiter if the food was ok we explained that only half of the broccoli was served. He refused to take it off the bill but would swap it for a beer. Bonkers!

When the bill arrived, you guessed it there was a £12 service charge!

The manager apologised for the poor level of service that we experienced and explained that they were short staffed. I accept this, but they should have explained this from the outset.

The restaurant is independent and not part of the Hilton. I really think the Hilton should audit the restaurant as it is not up to...

Pros: The front of house staff were excellent and very attentive.

Cons: The kitchen staff were slow and not good.

Experience: We got seated and ordered our food. The first course took longer than it should have to be ready, especially as the restaurant was only half full. However, when it did finally arrive, it was really nice.

The main course took an hour to arrive, which is ludicrous. When it did finally arrive, my medium steak had been so overcooked that it was like a leather shoe. For the first time in my life, I had to send food back. £39 for a steak (that doesn't include any sides or even sauces) is a lot of money and one would expect it to be excellent in terms of service and quality. Unfortunately, it was super slow and then overcooked. When they brought me out a new steak, 10 minutes later, it was much better. It was slightly on the rarer side of medium, which is still not great that chefs at a steakhouse can't work out how to cook a steak right, but a vast improvement on the chewy disgrace that they had sent out on the first attempt.

I certainly will not be paying the high prices for the food and experience again. Quite...

We'd eaten at Yokozuna's Steakhouse restaurant previously while staying at the Hilton next to Gatwick's south terminal. Back then, the food was exceptional, and so we were hoping for the same culinary experience. The restaurant was a little too dark for my liking, although not excessively. The food menu was rather sticky and in need of a wipe down, which wasn't a great start to the experience. Also, there were no small or large Singha beers as advertised on the drinks menu, and all that was available were small bottles of Asahi. All this aside, however, the food was truly delicious. The edamame beans were served hot, perhaps with a little too much salt, but were still tasty. We opted for a selection of small dishes that were all delicious, especially the crispy duck salad, the spicy prawns, and chicken karaage. The overall cost of the meal was very reasonable and well worth a visit. I shall definitely eat here again.

There is a lot of potential for this place but the food quality for the price is really not there unfortunately. Edemamde beans seemed to be reheated in the microwave as the outsides were soft and fell apart. Choosing to put the end of the tomato as one of 2 slices in the burger just seems a little lazy when charging £20 for a burger. The patty itself was cooked medium which was good. We ordered 4 starters and 1 burger to share between 2 people which cost £76 once we got hit with the 12.5% service fee. We spent a large amount of time in Europe and spent less for food that was far better quality elsewhere. The service team were young and inexperienced but were very friendly and did their best. Hard to give this any more than 3 stars with the prices you pay which is unfortunate.

Currently staying in the hotel and had an expensive but poor meal this evening. Staff were very pleasant but bought out beer that was warm. The rose wine wasn't very good either. The food is bad, 99% sure everything we had was cooked from frozen apart from the rice. Black cod was slimy, "lobster" tasted like scampi, rest of it was very generic but the salt and pepper squid was OK. It is also well expensive, when you are paying £40 for a dish and your wife is paying you feel like you have to eat it... all told bit of a bad birthday meal. Yup final point it's my birthday and had put that on the reservation. No acknowledgement. Pants. Bad pants. Expect more from Hilton.
