Imagine Cafe — Restaurant in Dacorum

Very confused by all these good reviews because I was very disappointed with the food and service. If I had gone here for a car wash and then stumbled across this place I may have been happy with it but as a cafe in its own right it's terrible! I wanted to order the veggie breakfast but without eggs due to an allergy and wanted an extra hash brown or veg sausage to replace but they said I'd have to pay extra for that so I opted for a chicken burger. I paid £6.50 for this cheap burger that looked like it was made from the cheapest fried burger (think something out of Jamie Oliver's school dinners) with cheap supermarket ingredients ( a few sad leaves of lettuce and a single slice of processed cheese) some bland chips. My partner asked for brown bread with his breakfast which he didn't get and paid extra for coffee instead of tea. I overheard the other table complaining they hadn't got what they asked for either and they were only going to give her the poached egg right at the time they were ready to leave. Table layout felt a bit odd too....

I visited to get a coffee and a snack but had an unpleasant experience. After placing my order, the server at the till told me I couldn’t bring in a sandwich I had just purchased from Tesco. I found this not only rude but also presumptive, as it implied I intended to eat the sandwich there, which wasn’t the case. Worst customer service from the lady working! shocking she got my order wrong then laughed and was rude to me , i asked for fresh egg as it would’ve been cold by the time the rest of the food came out and she said no.
