Jester — Restaurant in Dacorum

Recently I was referred by a friend to come to jesters due to it being her favourite cafe in Berkhamsted and I must say I was not disappointed. The first thing I noticed was the calming atmosphere within the shop and then to be greeted by the most friendly and talkative staff. I had an oat milk hot chocolate and an açai Rio bowl. The menu on the wall didn't seem to include the food I saw being eaten. I ended up with a very watery, miserable banana-based smoothie that had no other obvious flavour. The noise in the cafe was excessive. The prices were a little high. Staff were charismatic until I mentioned the noise, and they became pouty and offended responding; what did I expect from a coffee machine. Lovely place for a quick coffee and great that it’s dog friendly. But they only had 2 cakes on offer, no cookies, flapjack, tray bake type things which would be appealing. Also the babychino was in an adult cup which my daughter thought was fun but quite hard to drink so they could offer more child friendly options.
