This was a mixed experience, the food was well made and presented in the usual way, but the ordering service was abysmal.
I rang in advance to check if it was busy, a bright chirpy lad answered and was helpful.
Upon entering (and later leaving) the same young lad (I think) welcomed/bid us farewell, with a smile and was friendly.
The app ordering unfortunately doesn't allow for dietary restrictions and with a nut allergy sufferer with us this means we have to order at the bar. This was a slow and painful service... The lady (with the tartan shirt) seemed apathetic to service or questions...she took ages and really didn't want to help or assist. She also managed to put the wrong drinks on the order, if you ask for cider on draught that's not the same as general beer...(Which incidentally we discovered they only did by the bottle after being told they wouldn't change it) I asked if they had butterfly chicken (as the app didn't display it but the paper menu did) I was sort of ignored, asked again and she just said no...the 2 person platter had it on, so have they discontinued it for one person? Still haven't a clue as no interest was given.
Food itself came out hot, and promptly, and our server was friendly and came back to check (within 10 mins) if everything was okay.
Rather odd but they didn't have salt and pepper shakers, and I was given (by a very nice friendly Indian waitress) a handful of sachets. I only saw one pepper shaker on the condiments shelf also?! I know most people like the sauces but just odd...
The restaurant itself was clean and tidy with lots of space and seating, even for waiting at the door.
Quite loud with very few natural sound barriers but it's a chain, so really not that big of a deal with mains and drink averaging £14-20pp really not that bad.
Disabled access was great with lots of space and large round tables for seating (I would call and pre check). It's bit of a faff distance wise from a disabled space to the door, if you need to use the ramp(but as we all know that's normal everywhere).
Huge carpark with loads of car parking spaces, and lots of disabled spaces (even though half had forgotten to put their blue badge in their cars...but hey ho nevermind.
Overall a nice restaurant with great food vs cost. Other than the till server who walked round the restaurant like a snail with total reluctantance to work... Maybe she could have some extra listening and speed training...just...
Read moreMissing foods, poor customers Services, never ever order again from online. My husband had ordered the foods from online to celebrate my birthday. It was delivered by deliveroo. We got 1 chicken wrap missing from the ordering, it was ordered for my little one. We were waiting for more than 1 hour for the foods to be delivered and turned up with the missing foods, so so so disappointed. I was unhappy as I called to deliveroo and the man called Jas who was answering the phone, he was really unhelpful, he said he understood but we can not redeliver the food to me, he said I need to reorder and pay for this again. Then I asked to speak to deliveryroo customer services on line manager Adrian she also can not solve my problems, she said I can not get this redeliver and also can not get the refund. she said I need to wait for the Nando's restaurant to email me as they need to take 24-48 hours to escalate.
THIS IS SO WRONG. Never heard this before......
Then my husband had to called to the Restaurant , finally the manager at Nando's who was fine to give us the missing food, but my husband had to go to collect by himself, bless him ,I feel sorry for my husband and my kids, what a nightmare on my birthday day ....
Never ever order again...
Read moreFood stone cold and bun had gone hard, and a small part on the side of the chicken was still raw. No one came to do the three bite check and no staff close so we took it to the counter only to have a manager come to our table to tell us off for “throwing” the food back. We weren’t rude, and don’t appreciate being told off when the food shouldn’t have been served in the first place. I’m off to go throw up the small amount I ate Edit - didn’t even get a full refund for the dodgy meal, was deducted for the garlic bread a a few chips I had before biting into the chicken, and didn’t even refund for drinks or my partner only eating half of his food as we were made to feel so unwelcome. And also didn’t get refunded for the bottomless drinks when we barely finished 1 drink before leaving. Now getting stomach cramps and feeling sick, can’t get the feeling and taste of raw chicken out of my mouth. Awful awful experience. Even said they “don’t serve raw food” when I told them, which frankly isn’t good enough arguing with a customer. Calling environmental health tomorrow (if I’m...
