Atlantis Dartford — Restaurant in Dartford

I am going to give a detailed review that reflects on this business as I have visited Atlantis two times. I know it is a new business, so still finding your feet. Please bear with me because I want this business to thrive 👍🏿👍🏿

Pros: Nice ambience, lovely for pictures. Spacious, clean. Lovely staff from the door to the waiters and bar persons. Keep it up!!👍🏿

Cons: Limited varieties and within the limited varieties there were shortages of food. We went there on September 15th (Friday) the place wasn't busy, with a maximum of 30 customers or less. However, they managed to run out of fried yam, fried plantain, grilled fish and jolloff rice (in the centre of Dartford High Street 😳😳😳). A party of 7 could only have one portion of fried yam(8 pieces) as they had run out.

Saturday, September 30th we went there again for a birthday party as we gave them the benefit of the doubt which you do in life, thinking the first visit was one of those things. This day was even WORSE!!! However, there were more customers this time because of the Nigeria 🇳🇬 Independence Day. There were about 80 customers or less. There were communication issues between the staff as they didn't know what food was available on the night. We were told that there was no Jollof rice, no fried plantain (what is with the shortage of fried plantain in Atlantis😳😳), and no chicken wing. Bearing in mind that they already had an extremely limited menu on their website and restaurant. This was when we were about to order (9:30pm) that the staff told us what...

My understanding is that they are a fairly new business..but they need to improve in certain areas..

First of all the good.

The lounge is spacious and i think there are potentials there if they can use the space we'll.

Ambience is great. Security at the entrance to check people on their way in.

Good music

Then..what I didn't like.

Service was poor. I think the servers need to be properly trained. They lack the usual vibe of servers that know what they are doing. They serve you beers with juice glasses...cmon...The lady serving wrote down our initial drinks for 4 people....we asked for another round of the same drinks after 20mins and she was writing down again. Service was also quite slow...the fish took ages to come and yes it was nice but really shouldn't have taken that long. She dropped the fish and then went back for more cutlery...🤦🏻‍♂️

Anyway I think I'll come back, as they have potentials and with a few tweaks here and there can become very good.

Please use wine glasses for wine, beer mugs / dimple mugs /beer glassses for beer. Surely cant be...

Absolutely terrible service literally tried to ruin my friends Mum‘s birthday. He had taken their booking from a few weeks ago and had been confirmed. They had now called him a day before to just confirm the time and everything and he had told them that they’re not open on that day for maintenance and we were like how is that possible? When you literally took our booking and then he was he started getting rude saying that he posted it everywhere he posted it on it on his Instagram the website this and that. But he only went to go and post it after he ended the call with us. He even started just saying random stuff like his daughter is a paramedic and we’re just thinking what does that have to do with anything? Like we just want to celebrate my mum‘s birthday? He now said he will call us back. He called back and now said to us that we will have to pay £800 nonrefundable deposit for us to celebrate the birthday there and we were just like What are you saying? That makes no sense. Absolutely terrible people don’t...
