Went to this restaurant couple of months ago and me and my friend wanted to pay our bill with the card machine. The girl had a taken my payment first which she did contactless but the machine said there was no signal for my transaction to go through so she gave a receipt which said declined . She tried again to take the payment contactless and she walked away with with my card and the machine to see if it would connect . Few minutes later the manager come over and said the transaction again didnt go through, he handed me my card back and I paid cash . My friend who was with me tried her card which also didnt go through . The manager then got the manual card machine and had taken half of the payment with that but he said he would have to send off her card details for the transaction to be completed. So we both left the restaurant having paid the bill, one by cash and another with manual card machine. The next day I looked on my bank account to see that 2 transactions from this restaurant was pending, so I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager and I said what had happened . He said he couldn't find a record of my card details and assured me that no moneys would come out of my bank . I then checked again 2 weeks later and pizza Express did take the amount 2 times out of my account. Once again I called up and spoke to a differnt manager and told her what happend and that I called before . I gave her my receipt details and date i was there and the amount of my bill and she said she would look into this matter further . It's been over 2 weeks now and no one has called me back to tell me what's happening. Me and my friend come to this restaurant every week and spent our money for lunch or dinners and I am disgusted in how I have been treated . Also am even more disgusted that when my friend ordered a pizza on one occasion she found plastic from a homous pot on top of her pizza and she was very lucky she didnt eat that and choke on it . Called the manger and he was trying to justify where it come from but eventually he did apologise after we said about health and safety. I would not come back to this restaurant in bluewater again and I wouldn't be recommending it to any friends of family .

I booked a table for 6 people for 1pm for my mother's birthday. Most of the people were 20minutes late, so I appreciate the staff were patient in that respect.
However, once everyone had arrived, we waited and waited and waited and waited for the waitress to take our order. At no point did she come and take our drink ordersduring this time. We had to ask 4 times and wait 20 minutes before she came to the table. In between the 20minutes she did say her electronic order pad was not working. Which is fine, but another waiter could have served us rather than her making us wait 20 minutes, or she could have just used another pad. I also had to get up twice to go and find her and ask her if we could order drinks and food. I should not have had to get up and find her. When she finally arrived she took our orders, but mentioned the prawn starters were not available. She then came back 15 minutes later to say a main we ordered was also not available. We should have just left at this point.
When the starters finally arrived we started eating after being absolutely starving. At this point it was 2.15, so we had waited 55minutes since arriving, in order to get our first course.
Empty glasses and bottles were left on our table throughout the meal and I had to ask the waitress to take them.
When the mains arrived one of the meals was missing an ingredient that we asked for, but at that point we all just figured it was pointless in sending it back as we didn't want another huge wait.
When we finally left the manager gave us a big discount, which I think was the least he could do.
At the end of the day, I booked what was supposed to be a lovely birthday meal for my mother and this was ruined by incompetent staff and missing menu items (mainly the former). I would never...

Took over 20 minutes for my group and I to even be asked if we wanted something to drink and even then we had to wait at least 15-20 minutes for our starters and then same approximate wait for our mains, while the tables around us were being served far quicker - one table were only ordering their food when we arrived (drinks, starters and mains) but had finished and were leaving the restaurant only five minutes after we had been served! Similarly, another table next to us received drinks and starters all in the time we were waiting for our mains, and our mains came out the same time as theirs did! Don't get me wrong, I am a very patient person, but it makes you feel like a second class citizen to be waiting and waiting when everyone else is clearly receiving their food. To top it all off, we were seated in a very unpleasant place with servers and other restaurant visitors constantly banging into us. Not a pleasant experience and won't be returning ever again. It is clear from this experience that pizza express has gone downhill with this Bluewater restaurant being the worst...
