Terrible terrible service

It started with us queuing to go in even though there were many empty/available seats and no staff informed us why we were queuing up, so several people in the queue had to go out their way to ask what was happening: the reason was because there was limited staff but either way we’d be waiting, so might as well be allowed to sit and wait??

Food took agessss to come around, including tap water! I assume it’s because of the limited staff

We ordered more food, and ONLY found out that the pizza bases ran out because we asked where the food was, imagine if we just waited for hours on end??? And keep in mind, it’s 2pm! Nowhere near closing, having literal pizza bases run out in an Italian restaurant is crazy.

And then when we wanted to pay using a card reader, rather than using the app, the server was very rude, impatient and patronising, rolling her eyes and being rude, I understand it’s stressful but it shouldn’t be taken out on the customers. At one point, she completely ignored us, looked us in the eye, and walked in the opposite direction!

The cookie dough was not cookie dough, it was dry and salty (all three of our cookie doughs came out like this)

Only reason why I’m not doing 1/2 stars is because the main food was delicious and the first time I came to this restaurant, the cookie dough was actually cookie dough and a woman serving us was very lovely and had fun vibes :))

Overall, poor, unprepared and slow service and bad...

SAVE YOURSELF THE DISAPPOINTMENT AND A LOT OF MONEY HAVE A SANDWICH AT HOME

I never take the time out to write these reviews but this place was so bad ! We arrived was seen to a table and menus were chucked on the table. Waited ages for drinks order then waited again for food order. When the food arrived by robot our food sat for approximately 2 minutes getting cold, no one was to be seen to serve and we did not want to help ourself as was unsure of the robot. one pasta dish was un cooked like rubber so sent back, no apology just was asked if wanted a replacement which I kindly declined as it had put me off. The other pasta dish was that dry it was un- eatable. The two children’s meals had crusts as pieces of cheesy garlic bread literally nothing on them, 2 pieces of dried almost shrivelled up peppers and the worst pieces of cucumber I’ve ever seen, beans that were so dry they stuck to the pot. The puddings that were meant to come as part of the children’s menus never came out but was presented with a bill very quickly, then no one around to discuss or complain we was completely avoided, We ended up eating a cheesy garlic bread from the main menu as we was so hungry by this time. We left still hungry and very very disappointed and had to eat again when we got home. We know we was not the only ones as other customers were also serving themselves and complaining about the food. Eaten here many times always good food and normally good service.

During previous visits we have had set menu plus drinks for two, using Blue Light discount without issue.

Unfortunately today the waitress had a rude attitude from outset but I let this go as may have had long day and as nearly 9pm may have been tired.

I asked for Bill and showed her discount QR code when bill was brought to me the blue light discount wasn't on. I queried this and she went to who I presumed was Manager. Waitress brought Bill back over saying it had been sorted but when I looked she had charged me full price for 2 starters & 2 mains (not set menu for 2 courses price) and then actioned discount.

I stated that this still wasn't correct and her attitude wasn't very customer friendly.

I was told we couldn't used set menu offer & blue light together. I stated that I'd been before and it had been allowed and if I had not experienced this being accepted before on a previous visit I would have only had 2 main courses to bring my bill down and not set menu.

I understand if this isn't allowed but the attitude during the whole discussion by waitress has a lot to be desired. As we walked away after agreeing to pay the full we heard her talking about us.
