RUDE MANAGER, HORRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE
The food is usual but the staff experience is horrible specifically the manager (Christina or Christine) who probably needs training on how to drive a decent Customer Experience, if not great. I connected with the store staff as I had a point/reward related issue during my visit and Christina wasn't there. I was asked to call and someone got back offering a free sub as they were unable to resolve my reward related issue. After a few days when I visited the store next ( it was around 8 pm), they closed the store early as they had some issue with their payment machine. I met Christina then and the colleague who I spoke with earlier (the one who offered the free sub). I was asked to visit again because I wanted to buy a 2nd sub but the payment machine wasn't working. Then I didn't pick the free sub as we were 2 people and I wanted to buy a 2nd one for our dinner. So we decided to go to a nearby restaurant instead. But when we returned after a few days, Christina bluntly lied that it wasn't her who we met during our last visit and said it was another manager. Both my wife and I were shocked by her lie as both of us are 100% sure that it was her we met and spoke to that day in person in store. Even if for a second we assume that it wasn't her, she wasn't willing to understand that for a customer any staff member (incl manager) represents SUBWAY and if someone from the team has said / done something, manager / subway needs to own it up. She just said she wasn't there that day when we met her and she doesn't care what her colleague offered us. We felt utterly disrespected by her attitude and behaviour. We clarified that we are not here just for a free sub. In fact we want to buy 2nd sub with a meal option too but she treated us as if we were beggars. I am sorry for putting this long and negative review but we never had such a DISASTER experience anywhere in our lives. You offered us something BECAUSE you messed up an offer on my rewards points, you asked us to visit your store and when we did, you treat us this way,. Read moreOrdered lunch from here via Uber Eats. The order took 1.5 hours to arrive. When the food arrived, it was stone cold. The driver also told me he waited over an hour to get the order. There was no notification to tell me the driver had other deliveries or stops on the way. When I called the store to complain, they were very unprofessional. Asked me whether the food was cold in temperature or frozen? A ridiculous question to ask. They had no explanation and did not have a clue on how to deal with the complaint. Therefore, I asked to speak to the manager and was placed on hold for some time. When I was eventually put on to the manager, she just said hello with an attitude. She didn’t introduce herself with her name or say ‘I’m the manager speaking’. So unprofessional! She told me she couldn’t give me a refund but could offer two free subs but asked what day I could come to collect as they didn’t want the owner to know. Terrible service by one of the workers (took 10+ minutes to make the sub and then burned it) and then what I can only assume was an angry relative started screaming and shouting at me saying I couldn’t get a refund and I had wasted their food. I think she thinks she’s the manager but doesn’t dress or act accordingly. I’ve never been spoken to in such an aggressive manner before. The place was full of smoke after they burnt my sub and then they were looking at me whispering whilst doing another one. I’d given this restaurant another chance because I was on my break and didn’t have time to go the better one in town, but will never make the same mistake again.
