High quality coffee served here along with a good selection of cakes and bakes plus other food options . The bod café/ brew bar is quite the place to visit whilst in the Matlock area , it's decor and vibe is quite eclectic featuring rustic natural planked tables and various other features including some industrial salvage style and reclaimed wood panels, plus retro signing style features and it's own brewery themed decor . The bod does have a good selection of alcoholic beverages which are artisan style and some well known brand standards all of a very good quality. The bod also produces it's own range of artisan and craft beers which are very popular with the local community and the tourist's who visit. Upon my visit I had a good cup of coffee americano style which was of a very good blend and had some light floral and fruit tasting notes, not overly roasted and was sensibly priced for a tourist area . The staff are friendly and welcoming and quick to respond to your order . The premises are clean and also have a ground floor WC which is wheel chair friendly , plus there are WC facilities up stairs which are kept clean to a good standard . The bod is also a dog friendly business and is ideal for guide dogs and pet varieties all are welcome if well behaved . The bod is quite on trend and seems to be quite the place to be for the smart casual set !! And although alcohol is served here as well it still retains a safe and steady vibe with a more sophisticated approach to the café/bar experience recommend for groups or couples of all ages who appreciate quality drinks and snacks in pleasant surroundings at sensible cost whilst in a...

Great looking place, we had just finished our walk so thought we would pop in, staff at the till looked at me as if I'd farted! Asked about the quiche options as one of our party has a good allergy, she wasn't bothered just pointed to the board! Got the said quiche with the 'salad' which was just a bunch of leaves, wasn't asked if we wanted it hot or cold but brought it hot 20 mins after we ordered it! The coffee and teas where very nice as was the young lad who brought our food and drinks over, didn't get his name but he was very nice, don't go in here unless you want over priced food, or if you do make sure you are suited and booted , that way they will acknowledge you! Oh and forget it if you have mobility issues, there is a disabled toilet but the tables where hard to get a wheelchair in without...

Unfortunately I can't rate the food as they didn't seem to have anything available. We specifically went for a ploughman's lunch but were told they didn't have this, which is fine, you can't have everything all of the time but then we were told that our second choice was also unavailable. At this point I gave up and just had a drink and decided to try somewhere else to eat. Really disappointed as we were travelling back home through matlock so thought we'd stop off for a bite to eat but it wasn't meant to be. Luckily we found somewhere else and had a lovely lunch. It would have been nice if the young girl serving had just said what was unavailable when we went to order instead of letting us struggle to decide on a second choice only to be told it wasn't available and creating a...

Me and my partner came to bod to have some breakfast. We ordered a bod breakfast and avocado on toast with poached egg and bacon. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. My partner wanted pancakes instead of toast on his breakfast and the staff was very accommodating to let us modify our order. I wish my avocado on toast had a touch of lemon juice, nevertheless everything was very tasty. You could taste that bacon and sausages are from local butchers, it was fresh and sausages were thick and juicy. Both portions were quite big for a very good price. Bod also has a variety of cold coffees and a selection of milkshakes to choose from. Very relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff.

Visited on a Sunday lunchtime, not too busy. No greeting/sign as to what to do so we chose a table, noticed menus in a stand next to the bar and helped ourselves. Parents had chicken and chorizo wraps and I had a coronation chicken sandwich. Wraps tasty but slightly dry and peppers slimey. Wraps came with salad and crisps. Salad was literally a bag of lettuce! Sandwich very nice but that was literally it, no crisps or 'lettuce' with it. The server brought us the condiment box which included ketchup and bbq sauce, a salad dressing would've been nice. Food wait time wasn't long at all. 3 hot drinks plus 3 lunches came to £33. Could easily be 5 stars, little things just need addressing.
