What really sets this place apart, though, is the bar manager, Gary. From the moment you walk in, he makes you feel like a regular – warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what he does. Whether you’re after a perfectly mixed cocktail, a local craft beer, or just a good chat at the bar, Gary’s your guy. You can tell he puts his heart into the place, and it shows in every detail.

The vibe is relaxed but lively, the music’s always on point, and there’s a great mix of locals and visitors. It’s the kind of place where one drink turns into three, and you leave already planning your next visit.

Imagine the scene, you walk in there, it’s a sunny Saturday afternoon; you’ve had a few drinks and you fancy sharing a charcuterie bored. There’s 5 of you. You look at the menu, charcuterie £18.99 to share. You sit outside “by the river” (a bed of weeds and neighbouring gravelled gardens) and you eagerly await said charcuterie. Four of us went in on a Wednesday afternoon, so expected it to be quiet, which it was. Prices aren't cheap, but good value for the excellent quality on offer. There isn't a huge range but that makes sense & there's enough to provide choice of styles. There's a great offer of tasting size so you can try a few before settling on your favourite.
