Won't be visiting here again ! Mid week visit so very quiet, the sole waiter possibly manager very polite and helpful but his dress code was scruffy looked like a lumberjack with his checked shirt, industrial type baggy trousers and trainers. We visit different Indian restaurants all the time but this dress code was a new one on us. We started with poppadom's they were crispy when snapped but then soft when you bit into them is this because they were pre heated and then reheated I'm not sure. Next was seekh kebab, awful ! tasted like 5% meat and 95% additive this did not look and taste like it was hand made by the restaurant looked very machine made clean cut with smooth edges, again a warmed up processed cheap substitute product I suspect served up with one slice of carrot, one slice of cucumber and a little lettuce, no onion, no tomato, no lemon (you always get lemon with this starter). Also essential where was the hot fried onion and peppers that always come with this starter ? The main meal fairly average with plenty of rice the garlic nan very nice but all food was served in cold dishes as were our main eating plates so everything went cold very quickly. We couldn't eat it all so asked for our left overs to be doggy bagged, when we got home we found our two main meals had been put into two separate miniature pickle tray tubs I'm sure we we left more than that, I suspect they threw some away to fit it in. I had intended to have this for my next day meal but that morning I just binned the lot as I was just basically left with two cartons of rice. The restaurant seating area nice but bar area looked dull and dark. Our bill was hand written not printed so my overall opinion of this restaurant is everything been done on the cheap including the food, sorry Gurkha but you need to rethink the structure of your restaurant perhaps visit a few competitors and take on board how...
Read moreI called in to order a takeaway. I placed my order at the counter at the back of the restaurant. I found the staff excellent. While I waited, there was a family eating in and I felt ashamed to call myself white British such was the rude behaviour of this family calling out at staff. Most off putting. With regards to the food. Let's just say it was interesting. Onion bahjis were good. Chicken pokora a bit different to what I've experienced at other Indian outlets. The Butter chicken again was a bit different to what I find elsewhere. Having said all that we did enjoy the food but we've had better. Tables and restaurant has a feel of 'greasy cafe' about it and could do...
Read more11 of us went for a works leaving do, the staff we're excellent nothing was too much trouble for them. The service was excellent the food was fantastic, very tasty and the portions we're perfect. We all had various starters, the poppadoms and naan breads we're spot on the mains and side dishes we're excellently cooked and all very filling. All of our foods was served together no-one was left waiting ( and for a table of 11 this was very well managed). The beers we're cold and regularly brought to us, the staff we're attentive without being pushy and all in we had an excellent experience. Overall I would wholeheartedly recommend here and we will be...
