Fish Bits — Restaurant in Doncaster

Called in here yesterday around 4pm for dinner break. I had battered sausage, chips and curry sauce for £6.80. Today I asked for the same thing again and was charged £7.80 this time. When I asked why, the lady said I wasn't charged £6.80 yesterday and called me a liar to which I replied, would you like me to show you my charge on my phone app! She then said it was probably because I was there before 3pm yesterday but I wasn't! I arrived here at 4pm not before 3pm. Then I was served fish instead of the battered sausage and when I asked why she said do you want me to take the fish off? I said no as it's a waste of food and was already on the tray with curry sauce on it. Being charged 2 different prices and then being called a liar has made me decide not to eat from here again. It's a shame because the food is really nice. The last thing the lady said was "well, look at it this way, you've only paid £1 for the fish!" Which made no sense as that means small tray of chips with a bit of sauce on top costs £6.80! It doesn't take a genius to work out that I was being spoken to like...

Ate in the resturant part, its table service but wasn't sure till I was about to stand up to go order from the desk, really lovely food and presentation was good, I ordered a doner and it didn't disappoint, it came with separate pots of garlic and lovely chilli sauce, the hub had fish pie and he isn't a man of many words but he ate every bit, the lady who served us wasn't the slightest bit friendly but perfunctory, there was a gent who spoke as we were leaving that seemed lovely, my only gripe is i ordered a bottle of water and and it was sparkling which I didn't realise till id opened and the hubs cordial was weak due to not being stirred, highly recommend a visit, there is separate parking for customers so don't let the location put you off & they have an alcohol license with quite a decent list if you fancy a drink with your meal, my pic doesn't do the kebab justice as its...

Got there, and shown to a table in the corner. Decided what we had wanted in just a few minutes and waited for someone to come back and take our order. After about 10 minutes with no one coming back to us a large party of 6 arrived who were shown their table, given menus and had their orders taken before they came to us, must of forgotten about us. Just shortly before we overheard the woman behind the counter saying there was an issue with the card machine as a gentleman was trying to pay. A woman came and asked us what we would like to order and I asked her straight away if we could pay by card and she said "no the card machines arnt working" with that we just left.
