We have been coming to la fiesta for special occasions since last year. Fabulous food, really good service, far superior to any other restaurant in the UK. Yet on this latest occasion, yes it was a Saturday and understandably a lot busier than during the week would have been, but we felt overlooked. This is only a judgement made in contrast to the table of two next to us. (we were also a table of two)
The table next to us had a few of our orders sent to theirs table by mistake. Understandably mistakes happen especially when it's busy so we let that go. The table next to us were asked to order more food twice as often as us, which understandably since its busy the divy up of the tables may have had a waiter soley responsible for a handful of tables which didn't include us. The calamares we ordered that were sent to our neighboring table and then replaced with a somewhat rushed job from the kitchen had quite a soggy consistency and not the usually crunchy fluffy battered dish that we have had in the past.
Our waitress was very nice, but also quite busy with a big table towards the back. There were 2 young ladies running the food out which appeared to be going to wrong tables every so often, yet again the restaurant was full so it is understandable.
There was a tall young man who appeared to be either in charge or the owner, as we have been seen by him in our first visit especially. He has always had spectacular customer service with us but sadly he was attending every table and overseeing the operation on this evening.
Our neighboring table seemed quite comfortable and quite satisfied, even to the point that the gentleman that was sat beside lounged out onto the bench which I was on the end of and put his feet up almost on my lap several times throughout the evening!
Lastly the restaurant started to clear and people started to leave. We were then attended by the same gentleman that was serving the table next to us throughout the evening and he was quite attentive and must have felt we may have been hard done by, he did offer shots on the house and was very quick to attend to us once he was free.
La fiesta, you have done such a great job in the past, you have enticed us to come to you again and again for the fantastic quality of food but most of all the incredible service that you don't often find in the UK.
You have shown us outstanding service in the past, and I would hope this is taken as a polite critisim rather than a complaint. But we feel your standards have somewhat weavered since our last visit. We have seen you do better effortlessly before, yet we would encourage you to push just a little effort into achieving the level of service you known for during...
Read moreHave just come back from la fiesta in Armthorpe. All i can say disgusting experience. The place was absolutely empty three of us walked in and were shown to a table. We were given menus and then strongly advised by the foreign waiter not to choose anything from them. I want tapas at 15 pounds all you can eat. I am 8 stone so cant eat too much but he expressed glee saying that it was a great benefit to him . who cares I have ran two businesses and at no time would i refuse someones money for something that they wanted. the professionalism and customer service was non existant. upon wanting to order from the buffet menu, was told that all people at my table MUST order the same. then he suggested i move to the next table (away from my children). after this when another customer came he then asked me (60 year old disabled lady) to move to a 2 seater table on the other side of the restraunt from my children! At this point the blatant disrespect was enough. to suggest that a 60 year old disabled women sit seperate from her 2 children who accompanied her (not to mention one being her carer). He did not try to be flexible in anyway. Ended up walking out and not eating because of his attitude and obnoxious unprofessional attitude. After 30 countries I never met a waiter in my life that was so rude. The waiter was sleazy, unprofessional and no respect for the disabled elderly. He does not understand the manners that are required in working in hospitality and catering or even worse chooses to ignore them. How this man retains a job in the catering industry is beyond me. He is a very poor representative of LA FIESTA restaurant and as such reflects on their quality of service. (cant mention the food as the service was so despicable that wasnt even an option) If they treat their customers like the way we were treated then it is a logical conclusion to query what kind of food is actually...
Read moreLa Fiesta you've done it again. My wife and I visited this place following a review from a friend and were pleasantly surprised to find the restaurant more than lived up to the hype. We've since been back as regularly as life permits.
We were down that we haven't been able to visit for a while but the la fiesta angels must have been listening to our prayers as low and behold....they now deliver!
My wife and I looked at each other and shared a look that said 'there's no way the quality can hold up on transport', and we both let out a chortle at the audacity if the claim..... Oh how wrong we were.......it did and more. Now the only explanation to the maintenance of quality is that they must cook and prepare it enroute to the house. Well we commend you tiny car chef because you, my little fellow, are a marvel.
If you to want restaurant quality food in the comfort of your home look no further than La Fiesta. They'll cook up a storm for your enjoyment that will make you feel like you're in the Costa del Sol from...
