Posh Charcoal — Restaurant in Doncaster

Really upset and let down by posh Charcoal tonight. We have been strong advocates for Posh Charcoal right from the very beginning when they opened and have ordered from them ever since as the food is great. After moving from woodfield a year ago we were pleased to see they delivered to our area that is 1.9 miles down the road, 9 minutes away and have ordered on many occasions over the last year with no problem. Tonight however, I had a delivery driver arrive to tell me that the manager says not to order again we live too far away. I found it rather upsetting to be told that on my doorstep rather than a phone call or for my order to be rejected when I tried to process it if it didn't meet their parameters. I have checked the website to find they are stating they will deliver 4 miles away. My suspicion is that as I normally place large orders for family these orders have been processed no problem. As I have processed a small order for myself tonight they do not feel my order is worthy. I am not unreasonable if someone had kindly explained the delivery options had changed and I no longer qualified BEFORE they took my money I would have been more understanding but to be told my custom is no longer welcome on my doorstep is...

I will not be ordering from here again. Made an order with the restaurant, the majority of the food was good, except for one of the Calzones which was barely filled and particularly lacking cheese even though I specifically selected extra cheese on the app. Contacted the restaurant for a partial refund for the unsatisfactory food, not for the entire order as most of it was decent (excluding the fries, they were actually pretty terrible). The girl I spoke to was incredibly polite and convivial but I was told I would not be offered a refund. For this reason I will not be ordering from here again. This place is good. I had the pizza burger it was great and also another time I had the pamezan it was recommended by a member of staff. It was great, they were busy and the wait was abit too long but it was worth it they need to be careful because I asked for some plastic cutlery as my wife and I were eating out side in the car. And they said it was all in the bag and it wasn't ...we all make mistakes I get that.
