Wouldn't recommend this place ever. Was rude from the get go. Phoned to find out if food was halal to be told yes then got hung up on. However still went as got told it's good. No it's not..we was sat down at 18.05pm our starter come out at 7pm only 3 three other tables in so what took so long?? No option for kids meals just paid nearly £10 for my 6 year old to have chicken wings (which was leg with not much meat) so had to order sheekh kebabs extra along with chips for him the portion size that came was laughable. The 3 adults all had buffet at £12.95 per person not one of the starters had any flavor was all bland. Mains come out with half missing had to call waiter to fetch the rest. Not once was we asked if everything was ok.... had they have come they would have been told no I specifically asked for mine Asian style an there was nothing Asian style about it. We asked for nann breads seperate as one guest didnt like coconut they come together.I've left hungry after paying £60 for 3 adults and a child to eat. I'd love to know who gave them the award for best restaurant the food we was just served an the service both shocking also wonder if the waiter was chewing gum at every table he served. WILL NOT BE RETURNING AAGRAH...
Read moreONE OF WORST OVER PRICED TAKEAWAYS I'VE EVER HAD!!
Drove 5 miles here last night as was recommended by family.
Meant to be 10% off for collection orders.
I went in and ordered off their takeaway menu on the bar area.
Asked if 10% off and the lying b** said he had put the 10% discount on and yet it cost more than on the menu!
Think it is patronising when they speak to you like you are that stupid you can't add up and just think by telling you there's a discount you would believe them.
Soon as anywhere is dishonest I lose trust.
I kept my mouth shut acted polite got my food and left.
Get home to both starters king prawn chatt and chicken chatt tasteless with only enough salad for not even one.
2 curries, one a speciality both tasting like plain chicken tikka in a watery tomato sauce with no spice no flavour.
Chips were small and naan was soggy.
£34.70 after discount!
Wouldn't mind paying for good food but this was a let down and meal wasn't worth half.
I've lived in Bradford and Leeds for nearly 40 years. I know a good curry and when someone's playing a fast one.
Untrustworthy penny pinching poor customer service appalling food.
Hope this costs you customers because you don't...

I found the staff brash, a little too cocksure of a reputation that they think they may have built up. No alcohol is a good start - staying true to their religion. Most of the restaurants in Bradford don't serve alcohol. Avoid the table up against the wall, with the large "box" intruding in to one side of the table. We managed to swerve around the popadoms (70p each) and pickle tray (£2.95) - despite the waiter asking a couple of times. I went for the Mixed Kebab (£3.50) starter - thermally it was tepid, spice wise, it was very bland. A poor offering. Maybe the Chicken Pathia (£5.75) would redeem the restaurant? The curry was served in a minuscule dish, a very small portion indeed. The curry itself was acceptable, not great, not poor, just ok. Two Chapattis (80p each) is what I like to eat my curry with. These were excellent, large, hot and a nice texture - I recommend these. On reflection, I thought the Shimla was pretty poor. I've done numerous restaurants in Bradford, Leeds and Manchester - must try...
