Urban Fresh Burgers & Fries - Wheatley — Restaurant in Doncaster

Whilst waiting in the queue at Urban Burger today, the customer in front was called to the till, moments after, I was called the full next to her. At the end of my order, the server attending to the other customer explained that that till was cash only, meaning that they would have put the order through on the till I was being served at. The customer was rather annoyed at the inconvenience. Whilst waiting for my food, I have a clear view of the prep area. After about 15 minutes, I noticed that the manager assisting packaging the food up was asking for updates for order 66 (the customer who was just before me - I was order 67) the assistant advised him that it would be another few minutes … I could clearly see that my food was ready however the manager made the decision to hold back my food until the other customers was ready. I waited patiently, until finally order 66 was ready and the manager called over the customer. He then immediately called 67 (my order that had been waiting 10 minutes by this point). When I collected my food - I confronted the manager and told him I was very unhappy that he had held my food back to go cold, because he was scared to upset the other customer further. I told him that I should not have had to wait longer to appease another customer - the correct course of action would have been to apologise to the customer and offer a suitable resolution. Stood at counter waiting for my order number 16. A customer comes back with 2 open burgers and poking them complains he has been served beef when he ordered vegi burgers. The staff poke them apologies and give him the correct order. Fair enough..... anyone can make a mistake... it's busy .... But what happens next leaves me astounded!!! They wrap the returned burgers pop them in a bag a call my order number 16!!! Friggin disgusting!!! If you want tasty burgers but questionable hygiene this is the burger shack for you.

Go get a cheap burger at McDonald's at least they bin food returned as incorrect ..

I hope you haven't "dealt with an unfortunate trainee"!!! The guy that did this was the same guy who has served me since you opened. He did have a young kid with him but it wasn't the trainee that thought he would get away with it.

Your senior member of staff thought stuff it we are busy I can wrap returned poked food and sell it as fresh!!

Yet again, a fabulous chicken, cheese, and Bacon small burger. So so juicy and fabulously scrummy. Very friendly staff even when busy and very clean. The cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper drink is to die for. It's a shame you can't buy this in the shops. Thank you.

Each time we come here, we can't fault the burgers. They get better and better. The chicken is put on the frying surface and basted, and then a lid is put on to keep steam contained within the lid to help cook the chicken quickly.

Love the help yourself drinks station. As I can mix and match drinks. Today I mixed full sugar coke with Dr Pepper cherry Vanilla, Dr Pepper Cherry and Dr Pepper Strawberry. It made a totally unique drink and oh so scrummy. So go...
