Bowling Green Tavern — Restaurant in Dover

the pub has recently been refurbished and to encourage people in they advertised a quiz night, upon getting there and going to the bar the staff told us it had been cancelled dispite it being live on Facebook and advertised at the bar.

the owner then offends a family member and doesn't apologise and then then sits at the bar drinking beer and barking orders at staff. the owner the states to a customer that the pub will be opening properly tomorrow and today is a bit of a drink up.

The NHS had a party here on the 13th August 2022. 2pm till 8pm . The garden was big and we had 3 bands perform. There was a bouncy castle and climbing frames for kids and they loved it. Also face painting .This pub went obove and beyond 1st drinks free for nurses and the buffet was exceptional . Drinks price's were very reasonable. We had the best time. Booked a table for 4 as a wedding anniversary lunch. The food was hot, clean and tasty and they accommodated my friend who has a different diet. The young waitress was attentive, smart and polite, the conservatory was light and airy. We sat in the garden after lunch and enjoyed the afternoon. Will definitely go again as it was really fab.
