The worst Burger King restaurant I have ever seen ! I travelled on the P&O Ferries at 22:05 last 21st of October and had the (bad) idea to take meals for my family and I at this restaurant on the Dover Eastern Docks. When I arrived, I saw two guys and a girl behind at the kitchens who did not feel to be very motivated, especially one of the guys at the desk. I was promised to be served double steakhouse burgers and a kid meal within 5 minutes but at that very moment, I believed I was attending a "Zootropolis" movie scene with sloths... Despite we started being called for boarding, the guys took their time and one of them unpacked frozen nuggets as nothing was ready to be served for my son. It was a neverending waiting time ! While nuggets were baking, then the same guy left in another room on the left of the main desks and a few minutes later, whereas customers were arriving one by one, his colleague told him "you're standing, you're standing there doing nothing and customers are waiting to be served". A real lack of motivation from this employee who took time to serve an incomplete order, by the way : Fries were completely mixed with other portions "as is" in the bag My son did not get his toy !!!
Moreover, cars were already boarding when I left the building and we were one of the last vehicles to board because of that (I arrived at least 30 minutes before the first call for boarding).
Believe me, NEVER attempt to order anything in this restaurant, unless the employees are more motivated to serve customers correctly this time !
Next time, I will return to Subway at the fuel station in Dover as I usually do when I am travelling to the UK and before coming back to Dover port with my family (at least, they are correct and responsive in this restaurant).
This is a real shame ! Now I understand the reason why I am not the only one who posted a negative feedback !
I will also make sure that managers of this "restaurant" will be...
Read moreEvery queen needs a king and every king needs a burger ;) This BK is so special that you will need a passport to visit it. Situated at the foot of the white cliffs of Dover in a charming shopping center between the immigration office and the ships that set sail to the picturesque harbor of Calais in France.
As I was feeling adventurous on this Sunday morning, I decided to try a new meal. I ordered the gourmet limited-edition-special Farmhouse Angus with raclette cheese Menu with onion-rings and Coca-Cola zero. The food arrived before I could even say "I've got nothing to declare, sir !". My service provider, Gavin, recommended me the sweet-chilly sauce. We will get back to that later... Well, what can I say.. this time the brave brains behind BK specials really topped themselves. This was magnificent ! The meat was juicy and cooked to perfection, hitting that medium-well sweet spot. The raclette cheese gave it a spank and the fermented onions gave it a balancing tartness. The onion rings were crisp on the outside and comfortingly soft on the inside and the rendezvous between the rings and the sweet-chilly sauce was exquisite! This Gavin guy matched the sauce to my rings with the sensitivity of a sommelier. I will never forget you, Gavin. The coke zero did what it was supposed to do... make my life worth living !!
This Burgerking experience really brought back the spark into my eyes. Thanks, Burgerking, for always being...
Read moreFriday 25th July 2025. Came to this BK en-route to France for 2 weeks. Fancied a BK while waiting to board the ferry. Ordered a XL Bacon Double Cheeseburger meal. Waited a short while, which i wasn’t phased about as the place was busy (naturally). When I received my order, the top layer of cheese wasn’t even warm, let alone melted, neither was the bacon that was laid on top. The bacon appeared to be straight out of the fridge and to the touch, it felt the same also, absolutely stone cold. I took it back and said to the young lad, ‘The bacon isn’t even cooked, it’s literally cold’. He took it off me, I waited for a replacement and upon giving me the ‘replacement’ (which was likely the same burger just warmed-up), he said ‘I’ve had a word with my manager, the bacon doesn’t get cooked’.. To which I questioned, So it’s raw then? He back pedalled his statement and said, ‘well, obviously not, it gets cooked’. I further questioned this, simply saying ‘well clearly this one didn’t cos neither the bacon, nor the cheese wasn’t even warm, crispy or melted’. Absolute travesty of a burger. And to think they charged £15 for a meal and didn’t even cook the damn thing. Absolutely...
