The Corner Cafe, — Restaurant in Dover

Have visited the Corner Cafe a few times since the new owners took over a few months ago. Cannot fault anything about my new favourite cafe. The food is totally delicious (& locally sourced where possible) and beautifully presented (see my brekkie photo) - 10/10 for everything I've tried so far! Also, the prices are very reasonable indeed.

The service is wonderful - very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. The team go out of their way to make your visit lovely. On a recent visit we took a friend for her birthday last minute, and the team made everything extra special.

In the times we are living in at the moment with Covid, everything is done very well and it feels like a very safe place to be able to enjoy lovely food and ambience.

Latte for £3-60 came as a shock… —- RESPONSE; what a ridiculous response. I’m not a competitor. I’m just someone who lives in Deal visits a cafe every day. I know what I’m talking about when it comes to quality and price.

Goose On The Green, which serves great coffee for with a biscuit for £2-90 and they don’t hide their prices. Hog & Bean, Hope & Lane, etc are way cheaper and way better than you.

For Tea & Cake then Little Harriettes of Deal Tea Rooms is definitely the place to go!

You should visit you own competitors yourself.

In my experience you’re the most expensive coffee shop in Deal and could improve your service. You’re more expensive than London, which is mad.

You hide the prices so you can catch out tourists.

Small breakfast with a cup of tea, food was good except the sausage lacked flavour.

I don't think it is very professional that staff lean on tables whilst taking customers orders and talking to customers.

Also it seems very cluttered with all the items being sold.

Staff are very quick to clear plates etc as soon as you finish but slow to bring the bill.

Lastly the specials board could be better located as when customers sit at the table beside it then nobody can see what's on it
