Large shingle beach stretching from Deal to Kingsdown, with views across the channel to France on a clear day. Easily accessible, with a separate footpath and cycleway running parallel to beach for its entire length. For those wanting to sit for a while, the holm oak trees provide shade or shelter depending on the conditions. There's plenty to do in the surrounding area, from exploring Walmer Castle and Gardens (managed by English Heritage and maintained to a very good standard), or taking a walk out on Deal Pier. There's free parking and toilet facilities...

This is a nice pebble beach to walk along. There is some great views across the channel. It’s dog friendly and plenty of benches all the along the footpath. There is a small car park right by the beach which is pay and display. If you’re an English heritage member then it’s free to use. Be careful on the footpath as it gets very busy with cyclists and...
