Absolutely authentic and delicious Turkish cuisine cooked fresh to order using traditional methods like grilling meat over hot charcoal and executed to perfection. Side dishes like salad options and dips like tzatziki even the sauce (chilli) all made from scratch using fresh ingredients so if like me you love a kebab.... I couldn't recommend anywhere else if you're looking for the dining experience and enjoy a fantastic meal in a friendly and welcoming environment where you can actually see your order being cooked as the grilling and food preparation area is open planned and there's a transparent screen so you visually can watch how your order is cooked from scratch. Great food and value for money with a fantastic restaurant that's family friendly and provides excellent customer service. 10/10 I highly recommend this restaurant, takeaway service option no with free delivery option if your order has total value of more than £10 but to be fair I'd go back there and eat in the restaurant every time if you have the time and money available as the whole experience is worth it if your desire is to consume quality authentic Turkish food cooked fresh to your order and if you can manage to eat in the restaurant you'll be very content and impressed by the quality of the food and the friendly yet professional service provided by the staff and if curious about anything that you might not understand regarding the authentic and genuine Turkish restaurant layout and design the staff are always extremely happy to help or answer any questions like description of something you have seen on the menu and even though it has a detailed written description of exactly what the dish is, if it's a dish I've never tried before I always ask the staff to verbally explain exactly what to expect by describing the dish in detail and they're fantastic in responding to any of my...
Read moreToday was my first time at Aspendos and I must say...WOW! Everything was spot on, from the service, food and even the decor.
Service was very friendly and attentive, we had booked a table prior to our arrival and had the pick of tables but not long after we arrived the scene picked up and they almost had a full restaurant. The staff kept up well with the increasing demand and nothing was ever too much trouble.
The food was unlike anything I've eaten before. We went for the Mixed Meze as a group starter and that was very nice a good variety of different tastes and textures, the bread served with this entreé is absolutely lovely and compliments the dish. Mains we had the 2-3 person sharing platter and between all 4 of us we still struggled! Portions are enormous but you certainly get more for your money. We left a good portion behind as we were so full. We didn't order desert as we were already going to be rolling out of there 😂. but we got a cute little pastry thing with our bill. not forgetting the complimentary mints.
Decor was a Turkish themed temple/coleseum type thing with the white cliffs in the background and a rather impressive tree mural on the wall. we were on the mezzanine deck overlooking the restaurant. The staff are very well presented and conducted themselves professionally.
Very big well done guys and girls. Keep up...
Read moreGreat lunch. Dover is such a rundown town so to come across this restaurant was lovely. We were greeted by a young lady who was wearing a headscarf. She was friendly and patient since we know Lebanese food more than Turkish. My partner is Slovak and she chatted to him: another waitress was Czech so we both chatted in Slovak with her. Enough - how was the food? We weren’t expecting such generous hospitality. The young lady brought a plate of flat breads; olives and tzatski (not spelt correctly) as an amuse bouche. That was a lovely touch. Mains - my partner had chicken shish with couscous and rice. It was huge. He said the meat was perfect and moist. He loved the couscous. I found things a bit more challenging as s vegetarian because I didn’t fancy the mains so had two meze - garlic mushrooms, which were lovely and grilled halloumi which was okaysih but I would probably choose something else instead since I think just rice would have fine beautifully with the mushrooms. We also had a large glass of Turkish white wine which was good. To finish some very lovely baklava and mints. We both left thoroughly satisfied. A great discovery in an otherwise...
