I eat, therefore I am. Nothing here is left to chance. Every dish in this restaurant seems to be the product of a mind that arranged flavors just as it arranged certainties: the sweet follows the spicy, the spicy only appears to make way for the sweet, and the mind delights in this progression as it delights in moving from doubt to certainty.
These dishes are not for the weak who fear bold flavors! They are meals for those with the will to bite into life. The spice is not there to punish the body but to remind it that it is alive. The curry is not merely broth but a declaration of rebellion against bland Western taste. Whoever eats here experiments with the Indian Superman on their tongue.
Here, every dish is like a chapter in a long novel: its beginning light, its middle a struggle between the senses, its end perhaps regret or perhaps rapture. Every spoonful carries questions about the self: why is this flavor so sharp? Why is this dessert so melancholic? As if tasting Dostoevsky through spices.
Here, food unfolds like a novel, filling the table with drama and colors. The spices resemble a popular uprising igniting in your mouth. The main dish is an epic; the side dishes, brief poems; dessert at the end, heaven’s pardon for the riot of flavors.
The food in this restaurant is like language itself: it has rhythm, weight, and leaves an impact on the soul. The spices come as punctuation comes to sentences—lifting the palate or lowering it, depending on the artistry. A kind word is like a good mouthful: unforgettable.
What I like here? No deception in flavor. Every dish tells you frankly: I am spicy, I am rich, I am bold. No one flatters you in this menu. The food is as it is, simple in appearance, deep in effect. Little noise, much flavor.
Here there is a careful balance between pleasure and wisdom. The food is permissible because it brings benefit, not harm. The spices are measured by reason, not whim, with neither excess to overwhelm the soul nor negligence to ruin the joy. Moderation is a virtue, even in Indian cuisine.
This food is not nourishment for the body alone but a silent conversation between the soul and the earth. Every bite feels as though it carries you from a field in India to the depths of your heart. The dessert is like a small dream at the end of a sad poem; the curry like a tired man at the close of a long day.
You choose your dish yourself. Freedom here is absolute. You create the meaning of this experience; no dish has significance except the one you give it. Even hunger is absurd—something we fill as we wish. No one serves you existence on a plate; you consume it, bite by bite.
Blessed is the one who eats without excess, who tastes without overindulgence. All these colors and spices are not worth a drop of water to a thirsty soul if you reflect upon the truth. And yet, the stomach delights, and the mind forgives. Whatever is cooked with good intention may find mercy with ascetics someday.
Life is a theatre, and food is one of its costumes. This restaurant knows how to present beauty: on the plate, in the decor, in the colors. It does not matter how much your dish costs; it matters how much it makes you smile for your Instagram.
This restaurant is like a library of flavors. On its menu, you read chapters from India’s kitchens: Bombay, Kerala, Lucknow. Each dish is a page, each spice a line, every meal a novel ending in the epilogue of sensory satisfaction.
Food is art. And here, every dish is a canvas. The colors are not random but intentional, as in the painting of a face. The taste is not accidental but the result of trial, experiment, and courage. The chef’s thinking here resembles the hand that painted masterpieces.
To visit this place is to read Faust with your mouth: a journey between desire, regret, and the search for perfection in a dish that will never exist. The dessert is a distant hope; the spices, a small devil stirring your saliva as stories...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Dhoom for the first time with my wife, and I must say, it was an absolutely amazing experience.
To start, the warm and friendly welcome we received upon arrival set the tone for the entire evening. The staff went above and beyond to make our visit special, and their attentiveness was truly remarkable.
Now, onto the food – we had no idea about Dhoom's unique concept, and we were pleasantly surprised to discover it was a ten-course tasting menu. Each dish was a delightful journey of flavors and creativity. The fish and lamb dishes were the true standouts for me. The fish curry, in particular, was a masterpiece with its incredibly rich and flavorful sauce.
What impressed me the most was the outstanding value for money. Dhoom not only offers exquisite cuisine but also provides a genuine dining experience. It's a place where you can savor every bite, enjoy the company, and appreciate the culinary artistry.
I can't recommend Dhoom enough. If you're looking for a remarkable dining adventure, this is the place to be. My wife and I had an unforgettable evening, and we'll definitely be returning for more culinary delights.
Kudos to the Dhoom team for making our visit so...
Read moreWhat a lovely experience. Amazing food, great sevice, not so hidden, but gem worth exploring when out for a lovely culinary experience. Atmosphere quite authentic, modern and quirky even. Loads of nice design touches that make the overal experience even more enjoyable.
Food, great selection of a la carte and set menus. We went for the set lunch menu, with multiple starters, taster starters and one main meal. Starters offered a variety of different options. Main dishes were on the small side which was explained to us by the staff when we were ordering, however following the one prestarter soup and four starters, it was just the right size. We also had a mocktail and chai and even got a wee bday mocktail with dry ice effect - genie's magic lamp with a wish. Staff was amazing, took their time to explain the various starters to us. Restaurant was nice and clean, music was just the right volume.
Amazing experience, my wife and I have a new favourite place. We will be coming back.
Went back again today, same experience, great food, great service. Definitely worth coming back!
