The Commercial Inn has just reopened after a substantial refit, it has kept its traditional ambient atmosphere and most off its decor. The toilets have been vastly improved and the external facade has been freshened up. There is a good selection of lager's, cider's and six ales to choose from as well as the usual good selection of malts, blends, gins and other spirits. The food is good as well, it's quite a small menu but it does cover a range of tastes, the haddock and gammon are recommended. It's true that the prices have gone up a bit (20p on a pint of ale), but so has the quality of the place, it was the best pub in Dunfermline before it closed, it's better now.

Anyone is welcome as long as you’re not an arse, that’s basically the only restriction in this place, all...
