Wasn't sure what to expect, but was very pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is clean and fresh, though there are some bare, white walls that could do with some for of decoration/wall-hanging to make it a little less clinical - a minor point, but worth feeding back. The seats are very comfortable, but the deeply rounded backs make it difficult to hang your jacket (or handbag, for that matter). It would be useful to have coat hooks on the wall to address this. Again, a minor issue... Unfortunately for us, the evening when we were there, the sushi chef was off ill, so a big chunk of the menu was not available . That was a disappointment, but these things happen - staff well being is important, so completely understandable. We had two waitresses looking after us (the restaurant was very quiet - a mix of post Christmas/New Year, and the lack of sushi, I'd guess. Both waitresses were very helpful and friendly. Also very patient, as we did take ages working out what we wanted to order! Our group of four all ordered different main dishes; Katsu Chicken, Katsu Prawns, Raisukaree Chicken, and, for a change, as it turned out, I chose the best dish (IMO!), the Chicken Karage Yakisoba. Everyone's dish was a very healthy portion, and the food arrived hot. The chunks of battered chicken in my dish were nicely done; very crispy, and the sauce was just right. Plenty of noodles and veg (that was cooked just right - not too crunchy, but not cooked to mush either). I really enjoyed it. Daughter's Katsu Chicken looked great, and I was happy to see that she struggled to finish it all (daddy to the rescue). Unfortunately, she'd managed to polish off almost all of the breaded chicken breast, so mostly sauce and sticky rice for me... The other two in our party enjoyed also rated their food highly! For dessert, we were curious about the Mochi Ice Cream (and about the Matcha and Gen Matcha 'flavours'). The staff were extremely accommodating, and we ended up with two servings between the four of us, with each flavour of Mochi (plus others not on the menu) doubled across the two plates. We all got to try each of the flavours - very good they were too! All in all, a great experience, and I plan to come back in the near future to sample the sushi. All in all a really good experience, and I wave no hesitation in recommending this restaurant!

If it was not for the fabulous service our waitress gave us and the pleasant surroundings I would have given 2 stars. I had Salmon with soba sauce and noodles. The food was luke warm and the salmon was cremated. Our waitress noticed the salmon and she offered to get me another piece of salmon and a drink on the house which was very nice of her. I then finished my noodles when the salmon was brought to me again overcooked and as there were no salmon fillets left I got a few thin pieces of the salmon used for sushi. The chef should never have ever sent out a piece of salmon like he did nor sent out a few slivers of salmon. He should have advised salmon was finished then I could have ordered something else. The waitress also offered us a platter of desserts which were very tasty. My 4 sisters and I had a nice time at lunch but were let down by a poor chef.

Well, what a fabulous afternoon we had at Fabric Dunfermline for our team summer outing! Cocktail making masterclass with the infinitely patient Vinny in the Marquee. I had some reservations about the warmth of the Marquee but needn't have as it was cosy for a typical summers day in Scotland! We learned how to mix a Bramble, raspberry Daiquiri and a passion fruit Martini - these were delicious and easy to follow with Vinny's coaching. After, we stayed on for a buffet of sandwiches, gyoza and nigiri - all really delicious. Fabric have a new chef on board and if you haven't been lately, you should definitely go. All staff were super helpful and we had a really enjoyable afternoon.

Would give only one star if I could, but the food is five stars, so it'll sit at a two.

Fantastic food, fantastic wait and bar staff, absolutely terrible management. It's literally impossible to get ahold of a supervisor or a manager, so don't expect to be able to speak to one just because it's open.

Also a caution, if you ordered on or around Nov 14th 2022, check your bank details to see if your card was double charged. Money was taken out of my account two days after I had dinner there, it was also taken on the night. No issues my end, but was made to feel like I was perhaps at fault or had "lost my card", it was on my person's the entire time. I wonder if they would be accusing a nicer older couple with the same tone and dismissal as they did with me?

It then took me 8 HOURS of waiting for a manager or supervisor to talk to, to rectify this issue, costing me my time, and with no real apology from the manager at the sister location (whom I dealt with, friendly enough if not completely unphased by this). I didn't even get to speak to someone in person! It was all done over a waitresses phone! Again , no real apology or compensation. (There was no one else apparently). At least after 8 hours of trying I got my money back, but no compensation for wasting my time and seemingly not caring at all. You couldn't have offered 5% off next purchase? Standard practice?(The one waitress was an absolute sweetheart but it seemed like no one could care less, which made me feel horrible.)

I've never had to post a bad review before. I hate doing this, but other customers need to be aware for the potential of their money being taken wrongfully from their accounts with little to no care by management. This was incredibly stressful for me and had me in tears at home.

So, after being caused a headache during what was already a stressful week, I'm reluctant to ever go back. The only problem is the food is divine. Fantastic, masterfully created, and leaves you patient enough for 8 hours of run around, hoping for another bite. My advice to anyone wanting to dine here: Use cash instead, or expect to have your day wasted for no real good...

Had the Xmas lunch today and cannot believe the quality of the food or the service. I have had many Xmas lunches over the years and this is by far the worst. There was over 20 of us there and most were in agreement. It became quite funny at one point as we thought someone was having a joke it was so bad. The mushroom starter has to be seen to believe, not one person had ever seen such a small portion before, there was one mushroom on the plate lol. The turkey main course was ok I thought but could have eaten it twice, c'mon Fabric there was only one pigs in blankets and half a teaspoon of cranberry sauce and no gravy. Everyone that had the fish said it was not good and most did not like lentils it was on. The beef Wellington was extra £5, the Wellingtons in Primark are better lol. After a very long wait I eventually got my panacotta which was only average but not enough to make accurate opinion. Overall the service I can only describe as Bad, there was too much of people waiting a long time for food and a couple were forgotten altogether. A few of us had asked for coffee but it never arrived, I've never witnessed that before. I can honestly say that it is the worst Xmas lunch I have had and since talking to some friends and colleagues it seems this is regular at this time of year. I posted on my Facebook page that I was there and I am stunned at the amount of negative comments. PLEASE STAY AWAY AS A...
