I ordered about £40 worth of pizza, sides drinks, wanted to try new takeaway and support local business. Order placed through their website at 18:50, earliest collection slot available was 20:00. Thought Ok, they must be busy fair enough. I can wait.
Come 19:15 I got an email saying my order had been cancelled, and that I needed to phone the shop to re-order. I spent the next 15 mins trying to call them but the line was just ringing out, going to call minder or engaged constantly.
I stay 2 minutes around the corner so decided to walk round and see what the crack was with my order. I went into the shop expecting it to be queued out the door or extremely busy but was only 1 other person in shop waiting on food and about 5 members of staff behind the counter.
I explained to the girl on the counter about the email cancellation and asked what had happened to my order, her response “We were really busy so decided to cancel a few orders but we can make it now for you if you like”
Really!? Is that what you do when you get busy? Cancel orders?! Best of it was, at that point I was still 15 mins earlier than my allotted collection time and whatever “mad rush” they were overcome by so decided to shy away from had obviously passed so was somewhat of a premature cancellation!
Thats no way to run a business, and no way to treat hungry customers! if you want to see how a busy pizza takeaway operates successfully go stand for 5 minutes in Serena up town or Dominos up the road, they all manage just fine and are always rammed with orders. I worked for dominos for 2 years and no matter how busy it got, we never once in that time cancelled anyone’s orders because we were too busy. Being busy is what earns a business money!!!
Needless to say, I never did get my pizza as I was so angered by this poor service so left the shop empty handed. Went up the road and got a domino's instead (which was probably inferior to whatever you could have made for me, if I was given the chance!!)
Final point, the online payment of £38 left my bank account, appearing as a pending transaction to pay for said food and has not yet re-appeared, cancellation email said refunds take up to 5 days to process. What if that had been my last money I needed to use to feed my kids?? Another thing to consider before you “push the button” and bin anyone else’s order perhaps.

Read moreThis was my first time at this takeaway and I was really impressed. The restaurant is themed in orange and black. There is a nice entrance with comfy seats to sit on while waiting. Staff were all friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of pizzas to choose from or design your own. There was a salad bar too. Sides included wedges and chicken strips and there are several options for them. You can watch your pizzas being made and they have a large pizza oven that looks old and authentic style on the outside but inside there is a large revolving base the pizzas cook on. My food was ready really quickly. Got home with them and my family and friends all thoroughly enjoyed the pizzas, wedges and chicken strips. The food was all amazing and I will definitely be using them again many times...
Read moreHave to say that I have no complaints stopped in today with my partner so we could grab a bite to eat after a long journey. We were greeted warmly by the staff who waited patiently while we browsed the menu despite it being late in the evening.
We opted for a create your own pizza and was humbled by the generous amount of toppings all the ingredients were fresh and tasty my partner wanted to try the chilli oil before putting it on the pizza and the staff happily found us a container for the oil.
It's clear they take the personal enjoyment of pizza very seriously catering to a variety of tastes.
The only thing i would say is I wish there was a sitting area inside to sit down and have our pizza.
Thanks again
