Golden Chip — Restaurant in Dunfermline

Ordered large fish supper with only salt, Small fish supper with salt, Plain burger nothing on it except a burger. In person order. Normally put order in online and never had an issue. Got home and there was brown sauce covering the fish and chips. Every single chip was covered and the burger had cheese on it. Lost yourselves a regular customer. Extremely annoyed. In reply to the manager/owner. I told the server salt only and no cheese just plain burger. The error in communication was with your staff. For each item to be incorrect is not error in communication but just incompetence. I had to make food for children after a12 hour day. The idea of having to phone you to rectify at 7:10pm was not something I wanted to do. I am within my rights to leave an honest review. As you are within your rights to defend your businesses reputation but to say its an error in communication suggests its my fault and that is...

Solid rating for this chippy, Ordered twice in the last month and highly rate it even with a few issues deserves 5/5

Prices are great, cant slate them at all, Solid rating on price!

Taste has been 10/10 both times.

Had a couple issues but keeping my top notch rating for the above being acceptable.

First time my fish had a few bones, 2nd I ordered tikka bites which were great but the chilli sauce they came with was not nice at all. Tikka bites were a great price and tasted great just let down by weird chilli sauce still keeping the rating high due to overall order price, quality and taste.

Can only recommend.

Delivery was a good time. I did order a pickup once during a weekend and there was a long queue and my food sat on display for a little while which comprismied quality a little bit but understandable to to weekend unpredicibility.

Asked for no salt or sauce on my black pudding just on my chips. Nothing seperating the black pudding from my chips and salt on the blackpudding. Theres already a lot of salt in black pudding so it was now too salty for my taste. Paid £3 extra for the supper and got half a portion of chips. Have never seen such a bad portion of chips from a chippy in my life. Black pudding went in the bin and chips were what youd expect from a chippy so were fine. Didnt notice until i was back home or i wouldve taken of taken it back and chippy was shut by the time i got home. Single black pudding was spot on as usual and so was the kids sausage supper. Just such a shame about the black pudding supper. First and last time i order a supper from here. Il just stick to singles for myself and kids meals...
