I have left this review a few weeks late due to my own reasons . It's not often I leave reviews but I believe everybody deserves to be treated with dignity and respect .
I would like to advice the lad with tattoos on his face ( I think the name was Daniel or dillon but I could be mistaken as this was roughly 2 weeks ago ) that I overheard members of nandos staff talking about him .
I find this to be absolutely disgusting behavior as I have personally been served by the young lad and his customer service was so brilliant I went over and shook the young lads hand and personally thanked him .
I would like to advice the member of staff with face tattoos to stay clear of the tall lad with tattoos on his arm who I believe to be called Lewis , to stay clear of whom I believe to he his girlfriend and to stay clear off the blonde lady who works on the floor and to stay clear of ( and most disgusting given he's a manager ) the older man with glasses .
I will be coming into nandos ely sometime over the next few weeks to see if I can spot the young lad so I can personally speak to him and explain to him what I have overheard .
Unfortunately given the circumstances I'm not confident that this will be dealt with professionally and I can't be certain this message will be passed onto...
Read moreFirst of all the manager was amazing and sorted everything out, otherwise this review would have been 1 star.
We were about 3 hours away from home and we were hungry, so the one place you are guaranteed good food is Nandos. Not on this occasion!
We ordered on the online app and all was good. Around 20 minutes later I had to ask one of the waiters where my cup was for a drink because I'd been waiting so long. 2 seconds later it came out. Then I waited and saw my food get placed on the hot plate where it stayed for another 20 minutes before it was bought out to me, bare in mind this was around 8pm and I still had a 3 hour drive ahead of me!
So in turn we took the cold food and ate it because I didn't have the time or patience to wait for it again. Some of the waiters seemed to be more interested in cleaning tables and cutlery then getting the food out. Another couple also left before us because their food was cold.
Overall the manager sorted it all and gave us a few goodies for...
Read moreIt was a normal Thursday afternoon when I was craving sweet potato wedges, so we went to Nando’s Ely as usual. We queued at the front of three couples. It was only 5ish, and the restaurant was about half full. We greeted the staff with a smile, and he showed us to a small two-seater table tucked in a corner near the kitchen. Fair enough, we thought — perhaps it would get busy soon.
But then we noticed something odd. The two couples who queued behind us, followed by a single man, and then another couple, were all seated at spacious round tables or four-seaters with soft sofas. Feeling uncomfortable, we asked the chubby guy with curly hair why we were the only customers seated at a cramped table. He simply replied, “There’s no reason.”
No explanation. No apology. No “Would you like to move to another table?” — just — There is no reason. Except, perhaps, that we happen to be Asian, and he happens to be a racist.
We left feeling...
