I enjoy Papa John’s Pizza, but this location is very mismanaged. (I know it’s just pizza, but there’s a principle here) A few weeks ago I ordered a pizza for my family and it was about 15-20 minutes late. This was a non-issue since we were just waiting at home, so I let it go without an afterthought. Yesterday, I utilized their website to put in an order for 9 pizzas BEFORE NOON for delivery to my house at 9:30pm so I could bring the crew at work some food. (I thought 10 hours would be ample time for them to prepare the order, but I was wrong). I call around 9:40pm and ask if the order is ready since it wasn’t yet delivered, but a new employee didn’t know what I was talking about. Then the manager got on the phone and could have simply stated that they missed the order, but instead the manager said “it was ready” (out of panic I’m assuming). I asked if he was sure and he affirmed. I said I was now coming to pick it up since I’m already late for work, but then he said he needed “10 minutes”. I get to their location 5-10 minutes later and they’ve only made 1 pizza. Manager said it would be ready in “5 minutes”. An hour after it was supposed to be delivered, I finally had my order in hand. At the end of it all they gave me a single “complimentary beverage”. I also received the below picture via email (aka “please spend more money at this location”). I thought that maybe this was solely 2 isolated incidents since it’s a fairly new location, but the customer that came in after me had waited 40 minutes longer than they said for a pickup order of only 2 pizzas. So I’m thinking this is just how they do business. Hopefully they work out the kinks. Overall: Pizza = Still Good. Staff = Hard working (at least while panicking). Time management = The absolute worst. Manager = Polite, but habitually dishonest when he could just be straight forward. Making it right = Some effort was made. Recommendation for consumer: Call to order, don’t use website. Expect at least 25 minute delay for your order, whether picking up or getting delivered. Or just spend your money somewhere else. Recommendation for owner of this location: Get your manager a watch and some additional training on time management & business ethics. Orders get missed (it happens) but your manager shouldn’t default to lying just to keep people’s business. If your manager cannot improve in the next couple of months, they should not be your manager. Finally, I originally submitted this review with a 2 star, but then saw that there were obvious manufactured reviews. Thus, I came back to counter act this with a 1 star. (Realistically still a 2 star)

Don't usually have an issue, however tonight we ordered at 8pm. 9.30pm still nothing, order not updated online, called 8 times, no answer so my partner drove to store. As he arrived the driver called to say he couldn't find the address. When it turned up, it all looked pathetic, hardly any cheese, Limited pepperoni and added chicken I didn't want. The oreo bites were 1/3 of the size that they have previously been. Partner ordered extra cheese, this was clearly missing, hardly any stuffing in the "stuffed crust" and it wasn't fully cooked. Won't be ordering again.

I've had many Papa John'ses over the years, but this evening's was probably the best ever. From ordering on the website to the delivery was just 20 minutes, the pizzas were piping hot, fresh, very well made and delicious, and the delivery driver was warm and friendly. Reviews for pizza delivery places can only tell you so much - your mileage may vary, but if you're on the fence I'd say definitely try it at least once. Better pizza than Domino's and Pizza Hut (imo), and if your ordering/delivery experience is as good as mine, you'll be laughing.

I have been ordering and eating Pizza from Papa Johns for years now and this is by far my worst experience. I have never ordered from this branch before and I will never return to it either. The 2 people on shift were very young and I am unsure if they were inexperienced and new or just wanting to prank a customer. I placed my order online as usual and I selected the delivery option. The order was placed at 21:08 as that’s when the browser updated and it said that the status of my order has changed to the 1st stage. I kept refreshing the browser. The internet connection was good and the refreshing was in present time and all correct. I waited until 21:33 and called the branch because the status has not changed and they were not preparing my order so I wanted to make sure everything was ok. The person whom I spoke to said they are waiting for a driver to come back so they can make the order. I carried on waiting until about 21:53 and called the branch again explaining that I live 9 minutes away from their branch and I don’t understand why on a Sunday night , I am waiting for my order for over 45 minutes to even be put in the oven , let alone arrive at my door. They said that their driver is in Soham which is what they said 20 minutes earlier in the previous call. I explained that I am happy to drive to pick up my order as I didn’t want to have my food at 23:00 or not at all because the branch would have closed eventually. They said they will make the pizzas. I drove to Ely and it took me approximately 8 minutes from my house to the branch. I went to pick up the food and saw the 2 young guys standing and chatting , no sign of a driver and my order was ready however they didn’t have the right size drink and they tried to offer me a small single ice cream as a compensation when I have ordered enough food for at least 2 people. I said that I’d like a refund for the delivery I paid for as I had to collect my order in the end. I was refunded £2 from the till despite the delivery being £2.49. When I arrived at my house at 22:20 to finally consume my dinner , I realised that the pizzas are partially incorrectly made , with missing ingredients and one of them being overcooked with the vegan cheese and oil dripping and the surface looking glazed as if made of some fake material. The cookie was cut with the same knife as it had pizza ingredients and taste and it was cut in a very wonky way. The sides were cold. It was an absolute disaster and that put me off pizza and using Papa...

We ordered a pizza and a cookie and we waited for it to be delivered. It was extremely late, so was about to ring when I noticed the pizza had been left at my back door. I rang up to ask why it had been left at my back door and it was cold, The man on the phone said the driver had tried to ring the phone number and had knocked on my front door and my back door, so just left it by my back door, I said that the driver had not rang my phone or knocked on my front door and I was told that the drivers do not lie, so I replied with, well I am telling you that they do. I got a response of well what would you like me to do. Well I would like you to resend the order and I got the response of the conversation above and when I informed them that I had cctv and that I wanted the order resent, I got told, we will resend the pizza and that's it. Well they resent the pizza and my husband had returned from work and was in his van on the driveway and the delivery driver said, I have a pizza for number 12 and he was busy in his van, so asked her to go to the front door and she said, oh how do I get to the front door but it was the same delivery driver, but according the man on the telephone she had already tried my front door, so why didn't see know where my front door was? Absolute rubbish Very bad customer service , absolutely disgusting way to...
