Coffee#1 Honiton — Restaurant in East Devon

I’ve used Coffee #1 in Honiton for over three years. I am a cyclist and use it sometimes on a training route. I’ve always been welcome to bring my bike in (as you’d expect I don’t leave a £11k bike outside) and always put it respectfully in the corner away from people. - until this morning, I get asked by a newbie staff member to leave the bike outside. The reason, they’ve had kids in….🤷‍♂️ Not sure what that means, I’m not a kid, I’m a 55 year old responsible man. If I’d come in with other club members I’d totally understand, but it’s one bike. Hot drinks were served in paper cups. I asked one of the staff why we didn't have china mugs - "because we were gonna close soon". Me: "We came in at 5:15. You close at 6pm. What time do you suggest we come in to guarantee getting china mugs?" Assistant: "Hmm... I'm not sure about that one. Hang on, I'll ask.... ... yeah, I don't know really. The coffee and cake tasted amazing. However, there was 1 server behind the counter who was doing absolutely everything, running around and working so hard doing a great job, while the older lady with red hair (manager I assume) sat on her phone doing absolutely nothing and letting the younger girl do everything. Lazy and selfish and should not be in a position of power because she's abusing it completely.
