My wife and I were staying in the area and we were looking for some thing to eat last night ( Thursday in June ) just driving through Honiton to see what was available , we spotted this restaurant and gave it a go . The welcome on entry was great and we were shown to a suitable table and made comfortable , drinks and pompodoms were provided very quickly and we were given plenty of time to make our decision on our order and the friendly staff were keen to give us advice on the different dishes . . It was not too busy so our dishes were not long to arrive , It was absolutely delicious . the whole thing . At the end we were offered coffee but we needed to get going so declined the offer , we wanted to thank the chief so were shown into the kitchens and spoke to him personally , the Kitchen was busy shall we say, but clean and tidy and it was lovely to see where our food had been prepared . The young lad who was called Suvo was very polite and helpful . wish this Indian restaurant was nearer us in North Devon .! A1...
Read moreWe're having a short break in Honiton, and we really fancied a curry tonight. We picked this restaurant, as they open at 17:00. We chose their Wednesday Banquet Menu. As well as being very good value, the food was excellent 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Their popadums are very good, they were served warm, and they were nice and fresh, so they had a good tensile strength, and could hold lots of toppings from the pickle tray! I had the Lamb Madras, this was superb, the meat was lovely and tender, and the thick spicy sauce had a real depth of flavour. One thing it didn't have, that you get elsewhere was a lake of excess ghee floating on the surface. I had a garlic nan as well, I won't have any vampire worries later. Very much worth a visit, it is a shame we live so...
Read moreKing Of Spice is an absolutely delicious restaurant and takeaway. It boasts terrific Indian and Bengali cuisine and offers a large variety of all tastes (and temperatures) for lovers of authenticity prepared Indian food, crafted wonderfully. There are many dishes to try, with our favorites being the Tandoori Chicken and Tikka Masala. Even the appetizers such as onion bhajis and naan bread come piping hot, crisp and always fresh. The customer service (and delivery services) are excellent, with friendly consideration given for every order. In a world of sterile and cheap offerings, King Of Spice thankfully breaks the mould by offering both excellent quality and variety of food, alongside impeccably welcoming customer service. Highly...
