TERRIBLE TAKEAWAY SERVICE!!! DID NOT ARRIVE!!
We ordered from here after reading the reviews and not being local thought we were due a good dinner. An 1hr & 20mins after ordering I phoned back in to be told by the delivery driver (on the other end of the phone) he hasn't left yet because he didn't know where we were. They had the full address and postcode so I asked why he didn't just use his sat nav or phone, but apparently he doesn't have one. He then said he finishes at 10.30 so could I come and pick it up. I answered no, I thought that was the idea of a delivery service was to deliver and by this point we had had some drinks so couldn't drive. After 1hr20mins of waiting he was also having a joke expecting me to pick up, I would have if I was told that was the only option when I for. I then talked him through my Google maps of how to find us, but he continued to say I don't have googlemaps. I do not believe a delivery driver doesn't have a sat nav or noone who works there couldnt have one either.
He then asked me to call back in 2 mins because the boss was busy with a full restaurant of customers now. I called back 5 mins later and was told his boss was still busy with customers and again he asked if it was fine to collect instead. The boss eventually came on the phone and his excuses then started. 1. The chap who took your order (1hr30mins ago now) shouldn't have 2. We are really busy so can't deliver 3. We've tried calling you. 4. Can you collect.
I've never experienced a takeaway service so bad and I would stay clear.
The implications of not bothering to deliver to one customer may be insignificant to this place but to me it meant my 75 year old uncle who is diabetic did not have dinner. The total lack of care here was ridiculous.
Really disappointed by the absolute lack of care and strongly enough to let others know. If you do order then do so...

The Spice Lounge is the best restaurant I have ever been to by far. The staff are so lovely that my boyfriend and I go as often as we can afford to go. We have got to know the regular staff and the owner and we have become regulars! We go on Monday or Tuesday nights as it is Cobra night where you get a starter and a main as well as half a pint of cobra and a shot of your choice all for £12 each!! That's a crazy price. And okay, now you probably expect awful food if its that price but it's not. It is the nicest food I have ever eaten in my life, EVER. We always have the same thing as we love it so much. A mixed kebab starter including beef, chicken, lamb, an onion bhaji, a salad and the most delicious mint yogurt sauce that exists. Then we both have chicken tika massala (sometimes I have lamb instead of chicken).. it's REAL tika like you've never seen or tasted before.. its so red and amazing! Then we have a sambuca shot each with coffee beans and set on fire which is always good fun! Some of our best times together have been at that restaurant and I'm sure there are many more to come.. If you don't at least give it a go you're insane! We just tried the restaurant because the turkish place we planned to go to was shut and we have never been so happy to run into something...

Used to be good many years ago. Then disappeared and something called Charlies took it's place. Then has appeared again in last year or so - first time round since changes.
Delivery service offered - though more expensive than the other very average Indian restaurants in town.Being slightly more I thought it must be quality -
It was the most disgusting takeaway I've ever experienced. Stale, soggy onion bhajis. Ridiculously salty main and side, the main being over spiced with pickled/vinegared chilli (not fresh and supposed to be a x 1 chilli heat) and the smallest, rubbery and cheapest king prawns - possibly from the cheapest supermarket or supplier - you can possibly imagine. Totally vile. Really vile!
Haven't complained - fed up with it. Just won't use.
