One of the volunteers at Scott's Grotto recommended this place to us, and we weren't disappointed. The cakes in the window looked delicious and so inviting. The service was extremely polite and we felt like valued customers, even though this was our first visit. Both the coffee and cake were delicious and everything was served on simple but really good quality crockery. Everywhere was clean, including the customer toilet, and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It was nearing the end of a quiet Saturday afternoon, so we were able to spend time chatting with the staff, and learning about the history of the building. Just a shame we don't live nearby as this would become one of our regular haunts.

A friend of ours recommended this place because she said the cakes were really delicious and so we went to Milady to validate our friend's claims and recommendations. Boy, we were in for a treat! The cakes (made by Belgique and sold at Milady) are really delicious and it made me crave for more! Personally, the cakes they sell are made with just the right amount of sweetness (nothing over-the-top) and firmness. Moving on, we went back to try their breakfast lineup (yes, there is a sit-down area for you to enjoy your meal) and again, it did not disappoint. Kudos to the staff for being friendly and patient. Definitely a must go-to place for anyone visiting the town of Ware!

Visits MiladyTea and Coffee Lounge on a Saturday 12.30pm, there are few seats at the front with many more at the rear. Both staff were friendly and polite, and it was nice couple other customer chatted to us, one giving me her finished new paper. The memu is large and varied, the food we choose was presented well and tasted nice. There are some nice touches with the decor, creating a warm environment. Would pop in again when next in Ware

Very disappointing, I used to always come here with my wife when it was Belgique for a nice lunch and to fill my Belgian cravings (being Belgian myself but living in England). I was very sad when Belgique closed down at this location but I was happy to see they still sell the cakes now at Milady and even kept mostly the same menu.

However, the food quality has gone down substantially, I ordered Eggs Royale (smoke salmon on brioche) and my wife got the ham and cheese croissant.

The salmon smelled and tasted foul and had to be sent back and the croissant was absolutely disgusting. The croissant was oily, the cheese was salty and greasy and the ham was low quality, all in all it was just an insult to Belgian cuisine.

I do not know why the new owners have kept the same menu when they clearly have 0 understanding or respect for Belgian cuisine.

update based on owner response I think the owner response speaks for itself. Unprofessional and rude just like the experience in person and ignoring the core of the issue while shifting blame to...

I've been here several times and I can't fault the products or staff, they've always been great quality and super friendly service. However we are disappointed with the gift vouchers, and the complete lack of flexibility towards use by dates considering there's been a pandemic. We know expiration dates are a set time but to lose out on a great afternoon tea because we wanted to redeem it a couple of days too late was a disappointment. I work in a care home and have been unwilling to risk the lives of those I care for, or staff that would serve me as we were hit by frequent covid outbreaks, by going out during the pandemic to eat in and to lose out on what would have been a great experience from my caution is a bit of a kick in the teeth really.

It might be harsh but some understanding and flexibility in these unprecedented times really means a lot, and we won't be frequenting this...

I had breakfast here with my mum this morning, and we found it very enjoyable. I’ve been meaning to pop in for ages because of the beautiful cakes displayed out-front and I’m very glad I finally did. We both ordered one of the hot breakfast options, and I have to say I had the best eggs Benedict I’ve ever tried! A lot of places get the Hollandaise wrong, but it was well balanced here, not too lemony. They have delicious English breakfast tea - one of those loose leaf tea bags. The cakes tasted just as exquisite as they looked. The perfect place for breakfast/lunch and a hot drink with cake. Lovey!

Also, the waitresses were wonderful! Very friendly, welcoming and helpful. It was very endearing to hear how many customers they knew by name, and they were having a quick chat with the regulars in-between the extremely attentive service they provided which contributed to such a nice atmosphere...
