Truly Scrumptious bistro — Restaurant in East Hertfordshire

We have visit this cafe before with okay food and friendly staff and had decided to use it again. It was a terrible experience it was not very busy so we found a table to seat out family at the back as there is five of us and we did not want to inconvenience people to block the pathway with a chair the waitress seen us take a seat we had all decided what we would like which took about bout five minutes at onepoint we even moved so the staff member could get in to the freezer in the storage room only to sit for another ten minutes watching the waitress serve everyone including four other people that came in after ourselves and then continued to ignore us like we didn't exist. I find it very shocking that in this day and age people can take one luck at somone and judge them obviously did not want our business so in the end we got up and walked out while my children were asking if we had done something wrong. I explained to them that some people were just rude and to rise above that. Never ever again will I go near this cafe. Moral is if you face dont fit or you dont look wealthy then this is not the...

1 star is too much for this cafe. We ordered our breakfast at 8.45am through Uber Eats and was advice it will be an hour. 1 hour 15 mins later the order still had not arrived. We phoned the cafe and they kept putting the phone down on us. They called us back using their mobile. They told us they had not recieved our order. But we had an email to say they had. They told us we need to take this up with Uber Eats and gave us their number. We was not happy with this and wanted to discuss this further with the manager which they refused. We tried to explain to them that we are over £20 down and nothing to show for it. We advise we would be coming down and would like a breakfast on them and they can take this up with uber eats and the girl on the phone started getting angry with us and told us to calm down.

We instead went to Bite Me Diner in Hoddeson and the food was amazing and the service even better. Truly Scrumptious is not a good name for this awful...

So here it is.. I'm actually a food critic who lives up north, and I came to ware to visit family, so we decided to go out for breakfast/lunch.. so where do I begin, firstly the breakfast orders came wrong with items missing, so we had to wait for them to be replaced and still forgot the hash browns on one of them... my neice had to wait 10/15 minutes after our food was delivered for her pancakes to arrive at to which point we had nearly finished... Now we come to my order, i decided to start with the kalamari which was absolutely awful, burnt and as tough as rubber, just totally unedible and really bad, then I had the double burger with chips which again was so over cooked it was unreal.. chips felt like cardboard.. but I was hungry so managed to just about get the burger down me... all I can say is never...
