Nando's Bishop's Stortford — Restaurant in East Hertfordshire

The food was great as always, the staff were friendly and my girlfriend and I had a nice time. There was a little confusion in which we were initially brought the wrong dishes, but the staff were terrific, the error was quickly resolved and I was reimbursed for the difference - and even given a partial refund on the whole order for the trouble. So far so good, no complaints there!

My reason for giving 3 stars was not because of the above. Instead, it was because the person explaining the deductions from the bill (bearded guy, seemed to be senior to the others) managed to aim the entire conversation exclusively in the direction of my girlfriend, even after she pointed out that it was in fact myself who had paid the bill. I didn't want to blow the otherwise cheery mood by interrupting to point this out again myself, since I assumed he would soon turn to me anyway, but he never did.

Credit where it’s due, he was nothing but pleasant and friendly, but it is hard not to be a little offended that I essentially paid to get ignored. After all, the other staff involved knew that it was me who had ordered and paid for both meals, and presumably would have briefed him on the situation before he came over, and yet he somehow decided that the money matter rested squarely with my polite but bemused girlfriend as he attentively talked her through the receipts. Maybe he twigged when I picked up the stack of refunded coins he placed in front of her, but maybe he just thought an invisible ghost was making the coins float away.

I'd like to thank the lovely gentleman who works at this restaurant for his kindness in helping me today. I am a fifty something lady with severe pain. He noticed this and took my.order at my table for me as I was dining alone. He took payment at the table and also collected my bottomless drink for me. So basically i have order food from Nandos take away in Bishop’s Stortford got chicken thighs and peri chips. I have asked for a fork and knife however they gave me fork and spoon, i went back and ask them to show me how can i eat with a spoon?
