I went in for the first time with my partner for my birthday brunch! We had the worst experience whilst eating out probably ever! When we arrived we noticed straight away the chef's on their phones in the kitchen. We sat down on a "cleaned table" ready for people to sit down that wasn't wiped nor sanitised during this stage! We waited for about 15 minutes for someone to come and take our order, we ordered a baguette and a full breakfast, with eggs well done since my partner is pregnant, we received during eggs which had to be sent back and a bagel instead of a Baguette! When asked the waitress why I received a bagel I was told "we just advirtise it as a baguette but it's a breakfast bagel" Obviously she gave me the breakfast bagel and got the order all wrong, didn't live up to the mistake! After sending the food back I waited for a single espresso that took 11 minutes to arrive to our table, when they weren't even busy!

We then payed to leave this place as quickly as possible and surprise surprise, the waitress didn't know why the VAT wasn't presented on the receipt, we then had to wait again for someone to come and write down the VAT number for the venue handwritten on the back of my receipt. That was saying double espresso, when I ordered a single and was told again "We just have it double on the system"

As someone that worked on the industry, I'm in favour of young people working!! But you need to mix experience in the middle! The service overall is horrible for such a known...

My wife and I came here for brunch. We ordered a breakfast and a salad and 2 coffees. We had to ask twice to order and finally managed to place an order after 15-20 minutes. All the more confusing given it didn't appear that busy. Our food finally arrived before our coffees which given we are sitting outside in very British weather is poor timing and an extremely slow service. The breakfast was exceptionally poor quality, tasteless and the sausages were burnt and the bacon was over done for my liking, I left most of the breakfast but this also went unnoticed when our plates were cleared. My wife's salad was ok but by the time we had finished what we were happy to eat, the coffees were sadly cold. I have no idea how this place will cope when it is full and back indoors. I asked for tomato sauce 3 times before anyone brought it to me, I really don't understand how you can forget a simple request like that. All round a bad experience given the number of staff on hand relative to the number...

A lovely and delicious afternoon tea experience! We visited Rosey Lea Tea Rooms in Bishop’s Stortford – and absolutely loved it. For a very reasonable price, we got a lot of food – definitely enough to leave full and happy!

You could choose your sandwich filling (I went for the smoked salmon – a great match!), and then pick your favourite cake from a tempting selection. I chose the chocolate cake – and wow, it was heavenly! 🍫

Of course, there were also traditional scones – and the best part? You could decide for yourself whether jam or clotted cream goes first! (A bit like the British version of the “cheese or ham first?” debate in Finland! 😄)

The tea selection was fantastic, with plenty of options including many caffeine-free teas, which was a pleasant surprise.

The atmosphere was cosy, charming and exactly what you’d hope for in a proper British tearoom. Highly recommended if you’re anywhere...

Had a fantastic lunch today with a friend. I had a tasty breakfast baguette, bacon, sausage, egg and cheddar cheese, which came with a side salad and colslaw and had a caramel latte. It was late afternoon so nice and quiet, and super speedy service. Was so full up afterwards as very generous portions, but will definitely be returning to try there delicious looking cakes and afternoon tea. Something on the menu for everyone, and a wide range of drinks. Only downfall was my egg yoke was slimy, might be to others liking, but not mine. Other than that it was perfect.

Didn't fancy a propa sit down meal in one of the high Street chain restaurants, so popped into rosey lea.. The place is welcoming and pleasant, staff were friendly and attentive. There is a very good selection of teas which are all leaf tea which you get served in an individual tea pot with a strainer. We had a couple of sandwiches to share which were packed with filling and freshly made We will go back next time for the homemade scones as there were a few people tucking into them. I recommend you visit this place - especially if your into your teas!
