Ginger Cow Cafe & Bistro — Restaurant in East Lindsey

Just went here for two coffees, asked for large but they only have one size. While she was making them I thought woah that's really small for the price, when I went outside I took the lid of and no joke there was 2cm from the top and then there was 2cm of froth (basically half a cup of coffee) and was a small cup to start of with. I felt completely ripped off so I went back in and explained to the lady who was really nice which I can tell its obvious she's trained that way to serve those coffees. I said can u top these up which she was doing and then the owner came out so I explained it to him and I said lattees don't have froth on the top they have a small layer of foam. And to my amazement he said no they don't they have froth on the top and I said that a cappuccino not a latte. Rather than stand there and have an argument with the owner I will just never go back, it's no wonder costas are cleaning up. I would of thought having coffee in the company name they would know more about coffee but all he knows how to do is scrimp, also to top it of the coffee only had one shot of espresso which is mental. This guy needs to go on a barista and customer...

Approx a month ago I wanted cake to go, they were busy with tables; I was ignored for several minutes and then told they’d be a minute in a way that made me feel like an inconvenience. Today I went with my mum and her partner - wanted lunch before they headed out, and I was on my break. No urgency to take our order. Our drinks (2 teas and a flat white), took an unacceptable amount of time, and our beans and scrambled egg on toast, and a toastie (only 2 of us ate), took 40 minutes. Also, beans on toast is on the menu, and so is scrambled egg…but ask to have them both on toast (which isn’t on the menu), and it’s like you’re asking the most awkward request possible. It wasn’t busy and there was plenty of staff. Also, the prices, just under £10 for a sandwich. My mum had mentioned the slow service before and I forgot; I won’t be returning again. It’s not particularly friendly, poor value for money, poor service. Food was nice but the negatives...

My wife went in today with my daughter. My daughter asked for a blueberry ice cream, so my wife ordered that. Around 15 minutes later the "blueberry" ice-cream came and it was actually some bubblegum flavour. My daughter hated it, not to mention the cone was stale and the amount of ice cream was about half a scoop. For £2.20 I would expect more from a business as busy as this. I hope it was just the person serving being complasant. The mrs would have said something when she was there but the queue was huge and she'd already waited so long for half an ice cream.

I don't usually leave reviews but hearing this from the mrs really got my back up.
