Love Sweets — Restaurant in East Lindsey

A hidden gem just off the High Street in Sutton on Sea.

How many shops sell old fashioned sweets, mouthwatering hot chocolate, fabulous ice creams, just a few yards from the Main Street and seafront?

You can spot this tiny shop by the man-size lollipop standing outside. We dropped in yesterday, all six of us, and occupied all of the tiny tables and chairs outside. The owners were busy serving tea in china tea sets and running around serving all sorts of sweet and chocolate delicacies. We ordered hot drinks (yes, on a roasting hot summer day!) and the hot chocolates came with a separate block of chocolate topped with marshmallows which, when dropped into each cup, melted away slowly.

We also bought one or two gifts including gift wrapped boxes of old fashioned sweets. If you visit Sutton, this shop is a must-see. Congrats to the owners for coming up with a novel, welcoming and scrumptious idea for a sweet shop and small tea shop. If I could give it six stars instead of the maximum...

This is a treat for adults and children alike! Without a doubt it's like stepping back in time to a place we went to as children, to spend our Saturday pocket money! Wow. Talk about making me feel 7 again, really impressed with the selection, my kids didn't understand my excitement at finding proper sweets. Friendly staff. Definitely worth a visit, shame it's down the side road as we nearly missed it. Well worth a visit and didn't break the bank. All it needs is 1/4 marking...
