Thought it best to pre-book as we'd read such great reviews and didn't want to arrive and not get a table. From the moment we arrived to the minute we left we were made to feel at home. The staff were fully masked, friendly and attentive. We've found that since reopening from the pandemic, several restaurants have limited menus, not so at Sea Breeze. Ten or a dozen mains to choose from, each enticing and mouth-watering which made making the choices difficult.
My wife chose the Sea Bass and I ordered the Lime and Chilli Chicken breast. We didn’t have to wait too long for the wonderful food to arrive. The tastes were supreme; the Chicken was sweet and tender, the vegetables perfectly cooked, there was no skimping with the prawns in the sauce accompanying the Sea Bass which too was cooked to perfection. The desserts were fantastic too and all freshly made. All in all, quality food wonderfully cooked.
Sea Breeze is a family-run restaurant, ingredients are sourced locally where practical and the meals as well as being nicely cooked and delicious are sensibly priced. If it weren’t for living over 200 miles away, Sea Breeze would be my go-to restaurant every week.
Thank you for such a lovely meal served in a wonderfully friendly...
Read moreWe went to this restaurant because 2 of our party needed to eat gluten free food and it looked like they could get something here. The staff were all very helpful and very friendly and my husband and friend (who are both Coeliac) were told the food was all cooked fresh by the staff in the kitchen and they would be able to cook something for them. They actually cooked a fabulous lunch of seabass (fresh in on the trawler from Grimsby that morning), prawns, potatoes and roasted veg which both of them said tasted absolutely fantastic. I had roasted vegetable lasagne, chips and salad- very tasty (and marked as vegetarian and vegan I think) and our other friend had fish, chips, mushy peas and tartare sauce- also rated as fantastic by him. We shared a bottle of wine, which was very well priced- £16! Wish this restaurant was local to us (we are on holiday in the area). Good luck to Wendy and her lovely Team who've just recently reopened and thank you for a really...
Read moreA very disappointing Sunday lunch. The Yorkshire pudding were frozen as we're the roast potatoes. No flavour What so ever. The beef was definitely not from a fresh roast joint. The vegetables were the only fresh items on our plate. We had lemon cheesecake meringue for pudding. Defiantly a frozen one. The cheesecake was as yellow as a daffodil. I have made lemon cheesecake myself and it is not that colour. And to top it off the meringue practically stuck your teeth together. But worse was we asked for fresh cream on it and it was squirty cream out of a can.
I expected...
