My mum and myself went here for Sunday lunch on the 15th of September 2024, I pre-booked as I was unsure how busy it got plus I wanted to let them know in advance my mum would be in a wheelchair. We were greeted at the main entrance by a lovely gentleman who welcomed us in and showed us to our table, he gave my mum a choice in regards to where she'd like to sit or if she'd prefer to stay in her wheelchair and he'd move one of the chairs for her, we both felt this was very nice as people sometimes presume someone with a disability is unable to make choices or decisions. Our server was a lovely young lady called Kayleigh, she was very pleasant, polite and welcoming, she gave us some menu's and asked if we'd like some drinks whilst we looked at these, after taking our order's it wasn't long before our food came, we both had the carvery with all 3 meats-beef, turkey and gammon, it was absolutely delicious, the meat was so tender it melted in your mouth, I ate all my meal but mum couldn't eat all hers, in view of this Kayleigh kindly bought her a large piece of foil and a paper carrier bag so she could take what she'd left away and have it later. Where we were sat we could see the chef's cooking and serving the food, they were like a well-oiled team, they were very professional plus one or two of them would suddenly burst into song which we thought was great! We will definitely be visiting here again next time we are in Skegness, we can't recommend it enough to people if you're looking for somewhere nice to eat, with a good atmosphere, nice surroundings and delicious food.

Staff are friendly but the food is very underwhelming and they could have done better across everything we ordered. One example pictured below was described as: "Loaded Nachos £5.49 Crunchy tortilla chips piled up with a mature cheddar cheese sauce, mozzarella, fresh red chillies, spring onions and coriander. Served with tomato salsa and reduced fat sour cream" This is what we received Their excuse, this is what head office tell them to do, they apologised and offered a free desert which is why I gave 2 rather than 1 star. Reply to your reply: Dear Sir/Madam, Having just seen your response on Google I'd like to add some clarity to what happened during our visit. The nachos were returned to the counter about 10 seconds after they were placed on our table as I was not prepared to pay nearly £6 for approximately 50p's worth of poorly presented rubbery nachos. As stated the manager at the time did deal with my complaint promptly and explained that they had to serve them in this sorry state because that's what head office make them do which is absolutely absurd and unacceptable. As for the rest of the meal, the steak I ordered medium was very well done, the chips were pretty poor and the lack of healthy choices on your current menu wasn't ideal for people looking for lighter options. The only thing going for the restaurant was the team within who were all lovely, just a shame the food doesn't match up to their standards.

Stayed at the premier inn for 2 nights while on business and had the pleasure of dining at the steamboat. First of all I have to say that the service was excellent from Shane, Nicole, Kim and the team. They were attentful, knowledgeable about the food and they couldn't do enough to provide a warm and friendly service. The food was fantastic, im always tempted to say... fantastic for the price, but even at a high end establishment charging twice these prices the quality of the proteins and the cooking temperature was bang on delivering a level of flavour I couldnt get my head around. The first night I ordered the smothered chicken which was juicy and succulent and charred perfectly. Second night I got the rump steak on its own with some garlic bread and tomatoes as I wasn't hungry but the steak was again, charred to perfection, juicy, packed full of flavour and rested with precision to make sure all the flavour was held in. None of this would have been quite as enjoyable though if it wasn't for Kim, Shane and Nicole. Thanks guys, cant wait to come back. All in all, I cant recommend this place highly enough and I am delighted to give it a solid 5 stars for food and 6 if I could for service.

Lady at the bar had a bad attitude, complained at me that I asked for a drink she didn't know how to make and was in a flap the whole time she tried to put it together. She also asked another staff member, Josh, if he'd be willing to help her make a cocktail because she's behind on her tables and he said "Not particularly," and walked off. Bad attitude and lack of teamwork on full display.

Requested seats to suit my disabled partner and was initially told they "can't guarantee it," but actually, disabled patrons have a right for reasonable requests to be met to suit their needs. The manager lady did sort it out and had words with the staff member who wasn't making these accommodations later, but still, not great.

Macaroni cheese bites starter is £5.29 and you get five not very big bites. I looked at them thinking "Would I pay more than a pound for one of these bites?" and the answer is simply, no. Massive rip-off right there.

Fries were nice. Burger was served in a stale bun with a tiny bit of old, sad lettuce. Not very nice at all.

My dessert, the caramel apple Betty, was alright, but just felt like poor quality. Very meh.

I'm not expecting Michelin star quality, but the issues I experienced here are all so easily fixed, and those easy fixes could make this place feel so much more worth the price you're paying.

Oh. We also had breakfast here the next morning. That was mostly pretty great, actually, but the bacon was way overcooked. Felt like I was trying to swallow shards. So that needs sorting out, but hey, everything else was really nice, including the poached eggs, so...
