Unfortunately our experience here was marred by other customers and by the management refusing to follow the rules they themselves had written. Any children found to be fighting or bulling the families will be asked to leave. After paying over £60 for lunch and within a few minutes of ordering an 11 year old boy and two 8 year old boys attacked my 7 year old grandson the 11 year old causing him a bloody nose. We my daughter and I witnessed this unprovoked attack and stopped it after asking for the parents to come forward to deal with the children and getting no response we reported to management. The play area was closed for a while the parents were then just as abusive as their children telling us they wouldn't do anything as they had taught their children to always settle there disputes by fighting. The management actually stood there listening to this father speak like this and did nothing either. There was no despute just plain bullying. Our lunch came and we moved to a different area away from this abusive family, management refused to follow there own policies and reopened to all the children. When my granddaughter entered the play area the two 8 year old children said she had better get out or they would get the 11 year old to hit her. Nothing was done about this either, we left as did other customers as we didn't want our children mixing with these aggressive people. Edited to reply to Suncastle management Thank you for your reply, unfortunately that was not the case a 7 year old being punched in the nose causing it to bleed heavily by an 11 year old in an unprovoked attack is what I witnessed our table was right next to the entrance and could see everything unfold. Our 6 year old told us they went in and was going to play when the older boys started pushing our 7 year old, he asked the one who ended up punching his cousin to stop and was told what you going to do about it and then he punched his cousin. These boys towered over our boys, and as our boys had only been in there 2 minutes I doubt very much they had caused any injury to the other boy this seemed like an after thought of the boys father ( it took him until the second time the management came out to make this claim) and the injury looked old ( My daughter is a nurse and I am a childminder we know an old injury when we see one) both our boys denied doing anything to the boy and they usually would own up. My grandson the one attacked is black his cousin is fair skinned and can be taken as white. I can only think that this was a racist attack as neither of our boys did anything to warrant this and these boys parents and grandma were quite abusive to my mixed race daughter myself and my granddaughter who was trying to tell them what the two 8 year olds had said to her. I will admit that both myself and my daughter were not happy with our 13 year old boy saying to the 11 year olds dad, so you won't mind if I beat your lad up then. I can understand that faced with two families the management struggled to take one side over the other. However a boy was hurt and quite badly may I suggest that they deny both families access instead of risking injuries to other children that want...
Read moreVery poor service only two staff seemed to be on duty. Behind the bar. Drove 10 miles there for a Sunday carvery and so the kids could play in their soft play inside area. Got there at 5pm to be told they stop serving the carvery at 4pm. So instead of two adult large carveries(7.95 each) and two kids carveries at(£3.95 each) ended up with a lasagne for the mrs with what seemed to be reheated chips. I had the worst watery chicken jalfrezzi I've ever tasted on a 1 to 5 1 being the weakest and 5 being the strongest in strength and taste this was a bout a 0.5 it tasted like a frozen microwave Iceland bought job. My kids had the kids spaghetti bol and chicken nuggets and chips both tasted peppery and totally flavourless. We left most of it and ended up going to McDonalds down the road. Best bit about the trip to there was two pints of Carling for £2.50 a pint between 5pm and 7pm. Very disheartening we usually love going to this pub for carvery and to eat but its defnetly lost its mojo and reputation which is very sad and a huge disappointment to us...
Read morePopped over to skeggy for the day to watch a bit of wrestling pal and it was a good day with beautiful weather to boot 🌞 The suncastle is a lovely venue located in a prime spot on the skeg Vegas promenade and the venue itself was spot on for the wrestling with seats ringside and also up on the balcony. Bar prices were very reasonable with a pint of coke, pint of lager top, pint of squash and 2 bags of nuts setting me back £10.60 which is outstanding value in this day and age! We were seated near the back bar and toilets and kept getting some funny whiffs. I tell you what pal, it was proper like baby poo, either that or some of the kids had proper stinky farts! Some good wrestlers on show today enjoyed watching the ode retro Boyz, top tag team action and entrance with the out there brothers brought the crowd to life. It's all about the music, song choices are critical in this game! James Bentley is loved round these parts and again his entrance to phil collins was spot on, it was a good show all round and everyone chipped in so well done to lwp and...
