Pepe's — Restaurant in East Staffordshire

Ordered from this company quite a few times on just eat since moving to Burton but DEFINITELY will NEVER EVER order from them again. Don't get me wrong the food is OK (otherwise we wouldn't have ordered from here on more than one occasion) but they absolutely rip you off something chronic. Every time we've ordered there has been something missing from the order, usually cold items like side salad, coleslaw, drinks, or dips that we ordered additionally and paid for but this time it was the fries we paid for as part of a meal deal.

Basically we ordered 2 X meals (half chicken and chicken strips) at the top of the just eat menu it states that all meals come with fries and a drink we also selected the go large option which you would expect large Fries for?. We also wanted some corn on the cob and paid an extra £1.49 on top of the cost of each meal for this. Unfortunately the fries never arrived, normally I wouldn't have bothered but being frustrated that all previous orders had at least one item missing which we had paid for I called to complain this time.......

I wish I hadn't bothered the guy on the phone was very defensive and negative and said basically if you pay an additional £1.49 for corn on the cob on top of the price of the large meal then they class this as an "upgrade", remove the large fries from the order and that's it, so you don't get fries even though you paid for them, get a standard size corn on the cob (even though the meal was still charged as large plus the price of the corn on the cob) and that's pretty much it. I politely ended the call with the guy in the end as customer service was non existent and I was getting no-where.

We paid over £25 for two meals with no fries small drink and small corn on the cob it would have been cheaper to eat in at Nandos and actually get what we paid for!!!!

Pepes have lost regular customers here because this is not the first time this has happened and the customer service was shockingly bad!

It's KFC, Nandos or Chookeys for us from now on plenty of other...

The food 3 stars and the service 1 star, I ordered food by Uber eats, but this takeaway have his drivers but not enough to honour the orders! The food came very, very late, the Uber eats shows me the last time arrival is 12:50 and they came at 13:24. I will attach the pictures below to prove my review! One more thing on the beginning shows me 12:30-12:50, then they changed the time because they don't have drivers. I refuse the food and the restaurant and Uber refuses to give my money back, I couldn't take the food because of the late and I didn't have time to eat because I should go to work. The landlord prefers to have his drivers. Maybe it is cheap then Uber services drivers! In the future, I will choose a takeaway that has Uber services drivers!

Seriously, people who did 5 stars are...

Food is ok but staff and waiting time is awful . On every occasion they took almost more than 1 hour to prepare the food. No proper heating inside and the door always opened bringing some more cold inside . I ordered takeout food and food was ready but no one told me to collect from desk eventually I had enough and asked if my food is ready they said sorry we forgot to let you know . I said is it hot and fohow long you have put it there but guy behind the counter replied “ don’t know “ . Better go to Momos (within 50 meters) where staff is better and they serve you food properly. Also I have noticed 2 members of staff was vapping inside at the counter (don’t know if it’s allowed or not) time was around...
