BBQ House — Restaurant in East Suffolk

My partner, me and our two kids had fish & chips meals from BBQ kebab house two days ago and we all were vomiting all night after. Since this was only food we had that afternoon it is undoubting that must be from the kebab shop. The shop in general wasnt the cleanest which we already realised on the visit (we should have known better!!). After I felt better I went to the kebab shop to complain but was just told “all fine here, you got sick somewhere else”. Fortunately they had delivery that time and I could see the door on the side of their building open and couldnt resist but look inside. I wish I took photos!! All vegetable lying on the floor and mess everywhere!!! I could not see more but that was well enough for me!! I really wonder if thats how normal business can operate...

We were happy with our meals from BBQ House. It was tricky as we were looking for somewhere to get food quickly as it was pouring with rain. Service was reasonable and staff were efficient enough. It was a shame that staff weren't wearing masks or gloves (and I did see one member of staff take a piece of cucumber directly out of the salad bar and put it in his mouth - I didn't see him sanitise his hands afterwards but perhaps he did). There was no atmosphere or small talk but I was only there for a take-away so it didn't matter. The food was nice and we enjoyed it. The pitta on the kebabs was a little soggy with liquid from the kebabs but this...

Even though the food isn't bad, I have nothing particularly positive to say about the service. For a shop that was empty they seemed very impatient to accommodate me and my cousin who wanted to try his first ever fish and chips. I had to endure the snobby and impatient attitude of the server while trying to maintain an exciting atmosphere for my cousin who luckily doesn't speak English so we'll and couldn't quite get the nuances of such bad service. Not gonna be coming back here. It was only when I mentioned to my cousin something about leaving a review, that they perhaps realised what I meant and tried to overcorrect...
