Porky's Pit — Restaurant in East Suffolk

I tried calling a few times but the calls went unanswered So messaged via FB Messenger stating my intention to order 3 Christmas meals, after 5 hours I tried again as I had no reply, thought they must be busy and had missed the initial contact. I was told within a few minutes (with no apology) someone would contact me shortly. This is at 16:45, I naturally assumed shortly would be with the next few hours, that would be reasonable I thought. With less patience at 11 the next day I sent another message to receive this reply Wow! very rude, we are busy with other things too! Not our only customer I'm afraid!" I find it peculiar that when I am trying to support local business I am ignored but as soon as I hint at my frustration at their service I receive immediate contact, strange business model? After the experience so far this gave me no confidence in their service so I declined to proceed and mentioned I would leave this review so that others may think twice. I hope I am in the minority and they have many satisfied loyal customers. I think some basic customer service training would not be a bad idea. I was also told/threatened that "they would be sure to respond" to my review and that " They didn't want customers like me" Local people that want to give...

My first order from Porky’s Pit and WOW! I am so impressed!

Decided to try the Sunday Roast Dinner (beef with horseradish) and am amazed at the portion size! I did size up as I was unsure of what to expect, and I did order extra gravy/vegetables but was not needed with the size up. The standard gravy portion was very generous & was real gravy! The food was delivered well with containers for each dish.

The beef was of good quality along with the tasty vegetables (roast carrots, red onion, peas, broccoli and cauliflower cheese), the roast potatoes were cooked to perfection (not too crispy or too hard) with huge Yorkshire's, chipolata sausages, HUGE stuffing ball!

The brownie was melt in your mouth with THE softest ice cream, and the churros came with the sweetest salted caramel sauce and biscoff sauce.

Amazing quality food, delivery was 10 minutes earlier than stated, and the best part is no washing up! So convenient!

I shall be back for more! Excited to try...

Getting fed up with trying to get hold of people to find out about beccles store. No one answers. Apparently beccles now only open on a Friday according to when you go through to check out even though every day it says you can order or preorder for later. Nothing clearly marked. Been shut for so long you would have thought they would want to make sure people know when they're open or not otherwise it gets annoying when you can't even ask a human because no one answers! Tried to place order on Friday and it was cancelled so even on the day they are supposedly open it doesnt go through. Used to love this place but this...
