Foundry Coffee - Eastbourne Station — Restaurant in Eastbourne

I’ve been the Foundry 4/5 times & I always find the staff efficient and pleasant. The drinks are tasty and at reasonable price and I really enjoy sitting at the counters at the front facing into the station watching people mill about while drinking from the weird cups (bamboo, maybe?) The only thing I haven’t enjoyed is a vegan muffin which was a bit dry. Last week my ditzy friend tipped her hot chocolate over me (thank goodness I had layers on!). It made quite a mess on me, the countertop and the floor and the lovely barista quickly supplied us a load of blue roll to clean ourselves up. While I tried to dry my clothes as much as possible, my friend’s drink was replenished. My friend saw the same the barista most gentlemanly assist an elderly man to get up from his seat (assistance was required!) and get moving.

I love coffee and can hand on heart say that The Foundry is now my favourite coffee!! I've been in there a few times now, and the plastic cups threw me off a little the first time, but absolutely amazing taste made just they way I like it. My other half is really fussy about plastic or paper cups but even he said it doesn't bother him. The staff are all very friendly and the atmosphere inviting. Cost-wise, a little pricey however well worth it and I prefer knowing that my money is being spent on a quality product from an independent business. I also have their app now that rewards loyalty. Looking forward to checking out the new shop...

There's very few reasons I'd ever drink my coffee elsewhere in Eastbourne. Foundry serves Speciality grade coffee the way it should be, and to my knowledge it's the only place in the town that does so. Been here a few days in a row (not including Christmas obviously) and the service is okay and consistent. Can't speak for the food however as it's a little out my usual price range. It's good to see them not just serving but also stocking coffee beans and brewing equipment. Overall, are there nicer coffee shops in Eastbourne? Yes. Is there a better tasting cup of coffee in...
